Edit1: actually: true because then the transcription actor can activate to the appropriate promotor??

Edit2: and false because it says so on wiki
"The main function of the estrogen receptor is as a DNA binding transcription factor which regulates gene expression"

it is a transcription factor so it cant activate one 😛

but ksmi gets some points too, for not using wiki and knowing that its a nuclear receptor, perhaps?

Yeah, that's what my answer was based on... definitely didn't go that in depth about all of that stuffs in my class. Oh well, if it's on the test, I'll know the answer. 🙂
