I don't. It was sort of interesting at first, but clinical lab work is extremely repetitive. I do the same thing every day.

That's what I've heard, man. I have a buddy who says he hates his job... But his boss offered to double his pay and give him benefits, so he decided to stick it out. ha ha.

Do you guys work with any specific types of tissues?

We work with blood, bone marrow, placenta, amniotic fluid, chorionic villus, etc. For our current array platform we are only running bloods though.

Ahh, nice. That sounds pretty cool. I could see how you would get tired of it after a bit though.

I think the theory behind the stuff we do is really cool, but the lab work gets to be very dull. I think I could do it in my sleep now.

I hear you, man. I went through about a year at my job where I would have rather had my body dragged through a field of broken glass than show up to work... But we do what we've got to do.

Then it ultimately got interesting again. I think I was just burnt out.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy to have a job, especially right now, I'm just ready for something more intellectually stimulating. I fear my brain is atrophying.

I hear you on that. I felt the same way, but it's strange how quickly things change.

I actually had half a mind to quit my job this year and go work in a bar to enjoy my last year of freedom before I start med school...

I really just wanted an excuse to use this smiley.
