so since you guys are here right now, quick question...what does it take to get into any med school you want? This is what ive come up with
- 4.0 gpa at a strong undergrad
- Solid MCAT scores
- Volunteer experience at a hospital
- EMS/EMT/CPR Certifications that are relevant (having them for a long time as well)
- Research experience?

what kind of camera and lens you using?
I'm debating between Premed and Pharm right now, but for pre med schools ive kind of made this list (in order of interest)
- Cornell University
- College of the Holy Cross (I've heard great things about this school)
- Boston College
- Johns Hopkins/ Tufts
My favorite schools would have been WashU or Brown, but whether or not i apply to those two will depend on how much i can boost my sat in november
You also need to look dead sexy. Very important.
And the D90 is my favorite camera of all time right now, nikon is ftw. I have a Canon XSi which is ok..it's great to start with and get into dslr, but can't really do some of the more technical aspects.

I'm not thinking about med school i was just wondering what are important because I really don't know. And the D90 is my favorite camera of all time right now, nikon is ftw. and a "good for premed" school, ill just take holy cross for instance - they really care for their undergrads (something like 60% of their alum are physicians) and they have good advising systems/help you get involved with relevant extracurriculars and have a high acceptance into med school rate (ie above the national average by so and so). None of it is absolutely neccessary because you can do premed courses anywhere, but hey it helps.
Yes. Where'd you get those numbers? That actually sounds way off considering only 155 out of ~3,000 grads from my school went to med school in 2006.does any of think this number is a bit weird

Just like the one sitting on my desk...
Someone should write a program that turns it into a kevin bacon problem.hey we have 5 schools in common! woot!
i wonder if there's anyone on SDN with whose schools i have ZERO overlap. hm.

Yeah, options for NYS students tend to be similar😉
or better yet, 100% overlap 😀
i'm not NYS. i'm MA. just fake NYS. 😉
Wait... Rogue has a double dead guy ale? sounds interesting
I just went to the Bulldog tonight... amazing. God, I love that place. Had some Spaten Oktoberfest and various other stuff.
So for all of you Tulane applyers (except ksmi, she can attest to this) - it was about 95ish in BR and NOLA today.
Without the humidity factor.
I left my house at 9:30:00 this morning and was sweating as I opened my car door at 9:30:05.
Just warning you people - it sucks, this is why I would like to move a bit north. And it's not even end of July/early August yet. That's when it really starts to kick. We had a heat wave 2 years ago where it was consistently 120 (that's heat index) for 2 weeks.
I guess that would make me MS and fake NYS😉
This is getting creepy.![]()
Yes, work-out time!
This latter part is likely. The cable guy is about to feel my wrath. Waking me up at 7 to tell me he'd b here at 8... it's 9 now, no cable guy and I am due in the lab at 9. He's screwing up my extraction plan, I ought to take HIS RNA instead... too bad he won't fit in the tube.
😕 i'm not applying as a new york resident, even though i've been living here for 5 years. that's all i meant.

I lived in NY for 10 years and I am still not applying as a new york resident...
