When you apply to so many schools I guess you have to expect more rejections then most...but hopefully also more acceptances too🙂

I'm just sitting on one right now. But no news about interviews or rejections from any school. It's like my apps, after I turned them in, disappeared or something.:laugh:

lol don't start worrying yet🙂 I think only like 3 schools have started giving out interview invites. I'm sure they don't see the blueelmo application and just throw it in to the ocean or something haha.

none as of right now. Hey don't you find annoying Iowa doesn't start reviewing until freaking Septermber? I mean, what the hell? Do they just sit around on their ass and do nothing?

a little, I spent a lot of time trying to get the 2ndary done fast, and now i realize it didnt even matter. I just want an early acceptance so the pressure is off...maybe we will bth be accepted at UCLA by sept 😉

AMCAS will let them know that your LORs are in. Have you assigned each school a specific LOR set? You have to do that or they won't get them from AMCAS. I think that's just in case you're sending different groups of LORs to different schools.

Same man. Except for the select few screened secondaries (I haven't been screened out yet!) I haven't had any feedback about the quality of my app.

ahh see i didnt even get that email yet =( but i added wake a little later, so its expected. no rush...just waitin =)

I resubmitted. I think that sends a notification to the schools, while without resubmitting they'd have to go manually check. Maybe I'm wrong, but resubmitting doesn't hurt a thing. Do it anyway.

No, no. I appreciate it. Fact of the matter is, shemarty and I aren't gonna go digging through the threads to find the prompts, so PMing us is the only way to get them changed. Though I was like 😱 when I saw that I had 8 PMs.

you guys are really thinking about getting interview invites already? do they really come before august?
 
I just realized it's only like couple of weeks before August. Geez, time flies.

They can come as early as next week it seems based on last years threads. Id assume though only the super outstanding (i.e high number peeps) get those though.

BTW, I can't believe they're splitting the last HP movie into two parts. Gosh, they really want to milk the profit as much as possible, don't they?

Wow, that's nuts. This is the first I've heard of this. I guess it makes sense because HP6 was 2.5 hrs long.

Is that really surprising, they could break it into 3 parts and people would bitch but would still come in droves to see them 😛
 
yeah, I'm suprised they didn't split any of the first 6 movies into multiple parts. I wish they had split the Return of the King of LOTR into two parts though.
 
i think splitting it should allow them to remain faithful to the book, but who knows if they will

Did you read the book? There's no way in hell they could put everything in one movie. I for one am super glad that they are. I'd rather sit through a longer and more faithful movie than one that simplifies the complex plot of the 7th book. I've always said that I wished the first few movies (3rd especially) were longer so that they didn't have to change parts of the book. I think they did a good job with the 6th. Of course, it'll never compare to the novel, but it was good.

Yeah, I guess. But we all know the real motive why they're splitting it and not letting it die. To add to the 4.5 billion dollars the've added worldwide with this franchise.

Well, there's a reason why it makes so much money. Every HP nerd I've talked to is stoked about the 2 movie thing regardless of how much money it makes. Love for HP. :biglove:
 
personally, i wasnt too impressed with the 6th.
not only was it not faithful to the book, they decided to just add random bits and pieces to it (unless my memory is so off that I cant remember what happened in the novel)

i sure hope this splitting will give them a chance to do justice to the 7th so they dont botch it like they did the 6th

Well, they are always gonna botch the movies. But I felt that comparatively, the 6th was one of the best interpretations of the novel. Yeah, I'm pissed about the last fight scene and such, but this one was nowhere near as bad as the 3rd.
 
I've yet to watch it. But the book was truly good. I remember reading it in my dorm my freshman year, and I couldn't stop.

My status says "You will be notified by email of your status" Those who get 2ndaries say something like congrats you will be getting a 2ndary blah blah...Someone who was rejected from last year, got a similar email to me so im fairly sure im rejected.

maybe! 🙂, im not too worried regardless, i applied to so many schools i dont want to get too upset over things like this. Mayo and nebraska both sent me rejection emails though so i know those are final.

Is this what yours says, "Your AMCAS application is under review. When the review is complete, you will be sent an e-mail notification of your status."

Mine has said that for weeks -- it's disheartening like whoa.
