To recap:

date canceled on account of rain 🙁. I guess that's the problem w/ outdoor movies

redrower: I'm all about the free dates--I don't like spending money, and I bet my date doesn't either. I usually end up having the best times at happy hour/free event - type dates. I'm 23, so I'm almost "old", but definitely no longer in the "girl" status
--aside -- did anyone watch The Bachelorette last night? There was a guy who kept calling her an "innocent girl" -- she's 30 and on THE BACHELORETTE! She's neither 1) innocent nor 2) a girl.

--thisiswhyyourefat.com Though it grosses most people out, I find myself wanting to try most of those foods. Particularly the meatloaf cake w/ mashed potato/ketchup frosting 😀

my only inbox candy today was from UVM... saying hi, log into our online app system. then i logged in and the secondary isn't there yet. odd.

ive been beta testing it. not impressed. i like little change when it comes to my internet life...facebook change? bad. mdapps change? bad. sdn change? prolly would go suicidal.

The new MDApps just seems way too Web 2.0. The old version is perfectly simple. It says everything it needs to say and then has room for comments. Bam. Done.
 
yea thats all they need! i dont see the point of updating it. not like theres any other site competing with it. not like were gonna switch over. i like mdapps the way it is. leave mdapps alone!!!

Thats exactly how I felt before checking my scores. Mine came out day early so I was taken by surprise. :/

a brave SDNer from the 6/18 thread called yesterday to see if they were coming out a day early. Nope. 🙁

So . . . how about the after 5 thing? Should I stop obsessively checking? will it really be after 5? what time zone is that? AAAAGH

i should be verified today or tomorrow too so i'll start adding more schools. yay!

Just wait til the SDNers start posting their scores. Then it doesn't surprise you as much that they are there.

haha don't worry I didn't either. Luckily I had something that forced me to stay busy in the afternoon then when I got home and checked them a little before 5pm eastern time they were up. Good luck!!🙂

i just looked at your MdApps and saw the thing about VA Tech- i forgot about them!! a friend told me they were opening a school but he didnt know if they would be taking apps this year.

can you apply through amcas? are there any special perks for the charter class (free tuition? 🙂 maybe i will apply there.

Yup the app is on amcas! I wish there was free tuition but I haven't heard anything about that so far. They have this really wierd LOR thing though where all your letter writers have to go on this site and rate you, so I'm actually not sure if I'll fill out a secondary (if I'm invited to, they are screening)
 
Yea, I was really interested in VTech until I saw their stuff about letters of recommendation. Two of my recommenders are like 70 years old and don't want to deal with some ridiculous website, and one of them is out in California, so getting her to do it would a bear as well. It's really just silly that they won't use the AMCAS service at least for the first year.
