anybody know if it is acceptable to send in letters of rec after submitting secondary? for instance, i want to submit my albany secondary and have it be seen as complete, but if i get this other LOR before an interview invite i wanna send it to them. is this kosher??

EDIT: slash are you guys sending LORs to schools not doing the AMCAS letter service through priority mail or domestic?

I'm pretty sure that's cool. I mean it'd just be another thing to add to your file. Maybe call tomorrow just to make sure since some schools are weird about update thingies.
 
pretty sure i've read on some schools websites that if you send anything after your application has already been reviewed, they won't look again. probably because if everyone did this then they'd be reviewing every app twice

Still, depends on the school, some schools encourage it
 
I sent a grade update for submission, and they seemed fine with it.
 
hmm succubi seem pretty scary, altho scarier if traditional. and i turn 21 early spring, so not sure if thats before/after you ksmi. my bro says some of his classmates aren't 21, and when they go to a bar they tell the bouncer - 'come on man, how could he be in medical school if he's not 21,' and the bouncer always buys it :laugh:

Early spring... me too. March 28th for me. I'll be 21 before med school though, thank God.

It's probably intuitive enough, but ksmi117 what does that H. SDN ALUM designation mean? (guessing you used to post on sdn forum since high school?)

Nah. The hSDN forum has only existed for a year. I'm an hSDN mod, and hSDN has a social forum just for the high schoolers that no one else can see. As a mod, I need to see it so I have to have the hSDN designation. When the class of 2009 graduated, we decided to let them still have access to the forum but we didn't want them to look like high schoolers so we gave them the hSDN alum designation. I get both because I'm cool.

Haha, it's okay. I expected it. Apparently, they mass-reject people before interview season starts. Whatever.

I wasn't complete till the 20th, so the rejection, which I hopefully will not receive, should come in a week b/c you were complete on the 13th.

So my computer finished cleaning its hard drive and I reinstalled Windows XP, but now I have no idea what to do. It's like it doesn't recognize itself, the volume control interface doesn't work, it doesn't know it has a wireless internet card, the screen view/resolution just looks weird...
Don't know what's going on and how to fix it...

Oh and Blue sorry for your rejection, I have a feeling my first 2 are on their way come next week...

solution; buy a mac and you will never have to deal with that **** again😛

You have to reinstall the drivers (sound, wireless card, graphics, etc.). I don't know how to do it but when I got my computer wiped, that's what the computer people did.

Well, looks like I'm going to have to pay for crap anyway, when this was what I was trying to avoid. My money = non-existent.

Ok, I'm now trying to download the drivers. I wish there was just a pack with all of them, because there are far too many and I'm getting confused. I hate computers but I need them so much...

You just need to go to your laptop's specific website and they should have all the drivers there.

It's very simple and straightforward
