most are smaller than a quarter. (including legs)

lots of them are tiny, about the size of a pencil eraser

out in the country there are tons of daddy long legs (image) there will be hundreds of these on the siding of people's houses

I have seen 3 roaches in NC in 15 years. One when I was 7 in a shoddy apt the first month my fam moved here--it was as big as my hand. The other two occurred when we moved into the new house in 05 -- the Orkin man took care of them 😉

come to think of it, I've vacationed in SC at least 2x/year since I was 5 and I've never seen a roach there either--it must be a city thang 😛

i hate grasshoppers and crickets and i do not really care to know the difference between the two but i want them all to shut the **** up at night

they get huge. It was the first time I'd ever been home alone. My mom left to drive my dad to the airport that 7 minutes away. I climbed up on the counter and tried to page him at the airport. Must've been an interesting scene for my mom to come home to.

I didn't stay home alone again for a LONG time...:laugh:
 
aight guys, I've been at work since 6:30am. tis now 4:50pm. Time to go to a company reception, run 6 miles, punch out 2 more essays, and hit the hay. See y'all tomorrow! well..."see"...ttyl!
 
Yeah, they were supposed to come out tomorrow, but I randomly checked to bookmark the page, and they were there!

I knew I made some stupid mistakes here and there, but I'm totally happy overall. Even score too!

I just rescheduled mine for 9/22. It was 9/17, but that's way to close to a home game for comfort. I'd feel bad missing a Thursday practice. The scheduling lady was super nice. When is yours?

Finally, just waiting to hear back from the others. I'm really not trying to complain at this point, but some of these schools need to get on the ball! 😉

That's odd, mine's for 8/31 - so close! At first I thought it was going to be while I was in Seattle, but then I realized that's Labor day. At least I only have 1 class on Mondays, and I think my gf will be in that one to take notes for me.
Wow, I don't go on vacation all summer and I'll be on 2 sides of the country within a week of each other.

aww i love how my parents try to be supportive, but they definitely don't understand the process😛
 
So, weird thing. Someone with the name 123123123 looked at my profile recently. They've never posted on the forum and their account was created in 2008.

Lol, I'm kinda freaked out, but then again, I definitely think too hard about some things....

Yeah, I just wonder why take the effort? It was from somebody from Florida. Obviously, if you're a Florida fan you hate LSU. It's natural, why take time out of your life to post the obvious on someone's non-sports related page? I feel the same way about Florida, but I don't start threads here about how much I hate them.

question - does anyone know if it will speed things up at my schools if I re-submit amcas because the mcat score is in there, and I had previously indicated "another mcat test date - i.e. keep waiting" and that isn't the case any longer? Obviously I don't want amcas to erase my current score, just erase the "hold on" status.

metallica, so I'm looking at flights and at least for my date, the only 1-stop flights from BR to UVA are like $800. Bleh. New Orleans flights aren't that bad though. Do you think you'll fly back the night of your interview or stay an extra night?

I've heard re-submitting never hurts, but then again, I've never tried it.

I'm definitely flying back the night of, because I'll already be missing Virology the next Tuesday because of my Seattle trip. I can't afford to miss 2 Tuesdays during the first 3 weeks of school.
Thanks for the heads-up, I'm actually just starting looking for flights. Since I would leave on a weekend, I could easily drive to NOLA to leave. Plus, my parents could drop me off and pick me up from the airport.
