Thanks for the heads-up, I'm actually just starting looking for flights. Since I would leave on a weekend, I could easily drive to NOLA to leave. Plus, my parents could drop me off and pick me up from the airport.

Yeah, I think I'll just either drive down there or get someone else to drive me there. None of the Baton Rouge flights work out for me. This is crazy planning this stuff.

Yeah, especially since my interview is 4 weeks from today!!! :scared:
The NOLA prices aren't that bad, it looks like I can get round-trip for about $430, but that's with one stop each way. I really don't care about non-stop, it just makes things more difficult and more expensive.

I had a buddy who did 4 back to back to back to back interviews last cycle. Talk about crazy planning.

man, work was SO quiet today. the lab across the hall was basically missing today - they went to watch the bears in training. it was weird. now my lab is gone too, so I suppose it's an early night for me. Partay!
 
I checked MCAT score today after seeing Ciello scores.

unfortunately I was only able to get this

Well, it's certainly not stellar. But it's not the end of the world. I hope you do better on the retake, but I hope you won't have to retake in the first place.

I'm on the fence with mine since I was also considering applying for MD/PhD programs and will end up mixing up the schools I apply to. I'm going to go cold turkey on SDN now that I don't have to kill every waking moment waiting for a score. Time to start writing secondary essays and doing stuff that doesn't involve sitting in front of my computer or work (when I'm not working on secondaries). But before then I'm going to go down to a bar. Good luck all :luck:

I've heard it automatically uploads after 48 hours. In any case you might want to contact AMCAS before spending extra $$ to resubmit.

Don't you already have an interview there? How come you have to do a secondary for that school?
 
i think it makes sense. why bother filling out a secondary if theyre not gonna interview you. it just is a ncie way of doing things i think.

In other news, I stayed off the BU rejection train for yet another day (well I guess there's still time today). Have they screened me into the next round? I hope so!
 
I am getting a feeling that rejection emails will fill my inbox soon b/c most schools are waiting for me to get my new MCAT score. Now that I have it...they will reject me because of that 7 in VR. I'm still holding out though.

I have some back-ups that I've considered doing but i'm not going to like it since it will be another full year of bs. Hopefully it doesn't have to come down to this.

My caved in kitchen will not be fixed until FRIDAY!!!! It is still pooping out insulation and my cat is trying to play with it so I have to keep him locked up in my bedroom. So now my bedroom smells like catbox since there is no circulation in my house. Anyway I am super scared of bats and rabies shots so I am hiding in my room on my computer. Maybe I should move my TV in here....
 
I think that's better than checking your mail and not getting anything 🙁

Hopefully something shows up this week.
 
i'm so glad to be approaching the end of these essays. i've lost count of how many times i've complained about them.
 
It's so quiet in here... everyone must be working hard on those secondaries! Or partying after getting MCAT results 🙂
