Rivers is the biggest tool that ever tooled a tool. I went to high school across the street from NC State's campus -- he's a complete and utter jerk.

:wtf: to the italicized. Rivers spent his college career ACC. He's the reason Chuck Amato had a job for 6 years coaching the Pack. He got plenty of East Coast love during college, and didn't live up to the hype in his pro-transition. Like I said, I'm not a fan (in fact, in those years of my life, I was a rabid Duke fan, God help me), but I think he could've acheived a lot more if he'd capitalized on his potential his rookie year.

True. And I'm a Sox/Pats fan. I'd actually like to follow the Giants (my college roommate moved to SF and is a RABID fan), but they barely get any coverage at all. Plus there's my beloved 'Canes -- but good luck watching a game on TV, even if you're IN the RTP area!

am i the only one not really preparing for interviews by looking at random qs like this? I see other people doing it and writing answers but shouldnt you already know the answers? Isnt the interview the time to be yourself and not spout pre formed bs like you would on a secondary? I guess im just taking the approach of not worrying, maybe i should be:scared:. The only things im even bothering to come up with a pre formed answer to is why medicine and why school X since those are near guarantees and id like to have something well thought out.

The only interviews I've ever been to have been for business consulting. I'm not prepping each question, but I'm curious about what type of questions they'll ask at med school interviews. If there's something I never considered as a question, I might research it (mainly thinking about healthcare reform here), but for the most part it's just curiosity.

It's not really pre-forming an answer but more of getting rid of the shock value a question may have or making sure you are able to answer it.

Just called. The lady said they start on like 9/25 or something for CCLCM. They still have all their days open. Don't know about Case itself though.

Michigan sent out an e-mail today with a pretty sweet layout of pictures and information of all the interviewees for 8/28. Is this common?

first date for case available is 11/9. so i had to schedule that interview much later along with cclcm.

eating lunch in my cube. Brought the ketchup bottle b/c i like to put it on celery and didn't want to limit my ketchup consumption. I forgot that ketchup squeeze bottles typically make farting noises when used.

Quiet cubes + farting ketchup bottles = awkward situations. 😳

uninitiated. try to expand your ketchup palate, and you'd be surprised how utterly fantastic it is. on eggs, on mac&cheese, it's FANTABULOUS

Wendy's fries + frosty = eventual obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, etc. but well worth it.
 
you really shouldn't ruin mac n cheese like that.

and i think i make it to wendy's about once a year, but they're better than mcdonalds anyday. at least they dont add beef fat, or whatever.:scared:

I started ketchup on eggs in high school. My boarding school had really really bad tasting eggs, so that's all I could do to make it better. Now I love it.

Try it on:
-Grilled Cheese
-Asparagus (I used to do this more than I do now)
 
oops, sorry - i lied. ciello also likes ketchup on grilled cheese at work, where there is no tomato soup.
 
Urgh, my lab people keep not being in there when I want to go in. This is what happens when they don't give me a key all of last year.
So, looks like I'm going to hate 90% of my classes this semester. boo.
I've gotten far too spoiled with last year being all Bio electives and free electives. :laugh:

i think that was back when we were being a deck of cards. ksmi was queen of 2014, i was ace of 2014, rama kandra was the jack of 2014... and bryson made himself the mascot. :laugh:

has anyone ever had a letter sent to AMCAS, but then the app still says letter not received? then i checked michigan's status page because it updates instantly, and it says they got A letter, but there is still a blank spot for where the letter should be... does that make any sense? maybe it will be changed later??

oh, so here's how i don't always love my committee secretary, as nice as she is. I provided a separate letter form with an ID, and she decided to submit a new letter under the old committee letter. I'm assuming my schools will be nice and confused about that. Yay for emailing them all AGAIN! wahoo!

oy. and i thought my pre-health committee was frustrating.
 
i can't believe August is wrapping up...i remember taking my mcat on Jan 31..an the first day the AMCAS was out in May. wow...now people are getting rejected, interview invites, and some people have already interviewed!
