So, hello from Columbus, Ohio. I'm not doing anything today - it's a chill relaxation day. I need one.

And it does look like the Saints are for real again this year, even if I didn't see any of the game. :laugh:

And I might have a solution to my Vermont problem - if I move it back to the day after VCU, I can connect them both and save flight money while missing school for all but Wednesday of Thanksgiving week! And by that point, I might as well skip Wednesday. Thoughts? (but it is really far away, and who knows what I'll be thinking then)

im cleaning my bike up, its been a harsh summer for her. im so grease stained and all.
 
So, getting a hotel for Vandy the weekend of my fall break is turning out to be nearly impossible and I think it's because of the Ole Miss - Vandy game that weekend.

Yet another reason to hate Ole Piss... 😡 😡 😡
 
Time for Sunday night football! Missed the Cowboys last week because of my exam, but I get to watch this time 🙂

Even if you don't care about these two teams, you should watch just to see what happens with the punts 😛 Who else is watching?

Is it a bad idea to write to adcoms about your recent shadowing, volunteer work, and research positions while dropping a 'id love an interview' kind of hint? My top choice school has been giving interviews and I am worried that I have been overlooked already.

--note: my top choice is NOT a popular top choice, it is a perfect fit for me, and is local so I am not trying to push something that isnt too out of whack.

I don't think that's a good idea. Just wait and see what happens.
 
LoL you caught me before changing it to 'not a popular first choice' haha. But I completely understand the sentiment. I just worry that somewhere down the road I might regret Not being pushy with this.
 
I'm not exactly a stellar candidate or anything numberwise but I think I could do well in an interview, or if my essays were liked by the person reading them.

Also, this school had a completely minimal secondary so I could only push the AMCAS personal statement on them - which is why I thought I could add something more to the application.

Wow, my Nashville hotel was really expensive. That's what I get for waiting so long. I suck at this whole traveling plans thing. I've been crap at it for the last 2 years and especially during the whole med school thing.

I can't tell you how many times I've regretted various things about the trips I've personally booked the last month or so.

Same here! The one thing that most really hurts my heart is the exorbitant taxi fees.
