So, college football... I actually mean this seriously and not as a dig at the LSU-ers in this thread (ok... not JUST as a dig at them)... but outside of Florida, Texas, and Alabama, is there ANYONE out there that is seriously in the national championship picture? I mean LSU has been hanging on by the skin of its teeth against really mediocre teams (how's that Washington win looking now?) but is sort of the de facto No. 4 team... and after them, the only other undefeateds are the likes of Boise State, Cincy, TCU, Houston, etc... I mean, I guess you could just say that USC's loss was a fluke, and maybe Bradford gets healthy in time to save Oklahoma, but 4 weeks is a really quick amount of time to see all of these supposed "contenders" run into trouble.
So, after Florida, Texas, and Bama, which other team is most likely to break into the national championship game? For my money, I think it's USC; I think they've got a solid chance to run the table, and I just don't see LSU (honesty) winning 2 out of 3 against Florida, Bama and then probably Florida again in the SEC Championship. I'm hoping that Boise State's incredibly poor schedule would keep it out of the championship game even if they run the table.
