Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
yea, you gotta make sure she's about exactly 2 weeks past her period 😉

LOL

having kids is about timing though

I feel that there's never a good time to have kids...
My supervisor is pregnant now. She waited until she was done with classes and everything was stable and now that she's pregnant our office is planning on expanding and they're thinking about expanding her responsibilities across two different places... and this is all happening right before/during/after her maternity leave... 🙁

I totally agree with this. There are way too many people on this forum that are just, take the money and run no matter what. A lot of people underestimate the importance of location. What if you hate being in the city of the school that gives you $$$?

Unless I get a full ride (which I won't), I'm going to be in debt anyway - so I'll choose where I want to go based on what I like and where I feel comfortable. Or wherever accepts me.

ITA.

but that wasn't even my point-- everyone has very different attitudes towards money. why can't we agree to disagree instead of calling people immature and naive? maybe i'm too much of a peace-loving hippie for SDN 😎

what u guys gonna do this week to keep your mind off what might be coming our way

Honestly, having my JHU interview the day after keeps making me forget that the 15th is coming up. Yesterday my dad asked me if I was excited about this week, and I said "why, another interview?" and he was like "um, I thought schools could accept you on Thursday..."

I completely understand what you're saying. I don't see why people don't realize that everyone has different standards for what characteristics they look for in a school.

The other day I typed beginnings of phrases into Google to see what came up as the finished product. Stuff like "why do we" and "how do you" and "some people" , etc. Hilarious results. I recommend it.

go to 2 interviews and catch up on all the work i missed since i had swine flu last week. ya know.

you had swine flu? Was it much worse than the regular flu?

And stop sticking up for that high school noob! You're supposed to agree with me in any other thread! 😡😡

Did you feel that you were missing out though? With your parents being so busy?
My parent's aren't doctors but they both work 60+hrs a week. You just learn to cram family time into whenever in the evening they get home.

My parents are big on taking vacations (sometimes they just take a week off and hang around the house) so there allways had three or so weeks a year where I saw them lots.

nah, swine flu is just like regular flu only you feel sillier when you have it because it's swine flu. i mean, i was pretty sick for 3 or 4 days, but no worse than when i had the flu last october.

I really don't give a rat's ass about Mayo. I got into that argument I don't even know how and ended up defending the goddamn school so I don't look like an idiot.:smack:

😳 Oops.

I'm not even just talking about Baylor; I've got to think getting into any of, say, your top 4 schools so far would have to be better than doing well at another interview.

As a matter of fact, ksmi, if you get in Thursday, I request... nay, demand that you kick your feet up on your interviewer's desk on Friday just to see their reaction 😛 Gotta test out whether or not LizzyM was right when she said that that is the only way to get an "auto" rejection!

Blue, you've confused me again. But that's OK. I kind of like being confused at the moment.

Um, I don't recommend it?

Hell no. Even though I'm not feeling JHU right now. I'm sure that will change though. haha.

It was about that thread "which school would you go to if accepted everywhere." I'm confused too, so it's all good.

Any of you guys in dingy hotel rooms preparing for an interview tommorow?

Holy hell. You have one million interviews lined up.

Well *I* do, and whose advice do you think she's going to listen to more?

...

... dammit.

For the first time in my life: a female might actually listen to me...

Hell no. Even though I'm not feeling JHU right now. I'm sure that will change though. haha.

You will. 😉 GO TO THE LECTURE!!!

No, I'm at home! 👍

:luck: though!

Bamtuba- are you done interviewing? Your mdapps says you've attended all of em.

AECOM is slow... I think they like to make it unbiased based on application time.

Yeah I'm still waiting. It looksn like a great school though. It's in the Bronx, Yankees.
There were some things that really impressed me and others that didn't at AECOM. Their new research building is really nice, but parts of the old hospital are pretty rundown. It's really in a good area of the Bronx from what I can tell, and their housing is pretty nice and cheap. Almost all the students live in 3 buildings. And their hospital is very dedicated to serving the poor around there.

UMich kids will be the first to find out? good luck to zerial and stein (i think they interviewed there)
