So, just some food for thought, guys. I'm gonna try to crash wherever you decide to go, and you should go wherever you want. It's y'alls trip. But these super-fancy things like Europe, those are the kinds of things you'll probably want to do with family or college friends. An SDN meet up might make more sense in some place that's more affordable, even better if there's someone who could host.

yeah, the europe trips are certainly not reasonable for a big group meet-up. should be interesting to see where it ends up being.

If somebody had a family camp kind of a setup, on a lake - that would work.

There's no way I can afford an international flight.

i just started watching it-my dad and i are on season 2. i'm glad it's getting good, don't give anything away!🙂

Well, it comes on Showtime. :\ But, if I recall correctly, there's an edited version that plays on a normal broadcast TV station... It's two seasons behind though. I'd still recommend it! 👍 🙂

Ok, it was showing on CBS. I'm not sure if they're still showing it (since I watch it on Showtime) because they started airing it due to the writers' strike....

Yeah, I went to taco bell the other day and spent $7.30 or something. Shoot, I should have just gone to Chipotle or something for that price.

seriously huh. chipotle is so good. about 6 bucks for a delicious brick of food...i always feel amazing after eating chipotle.

Chinese is the best, 5.50 lunch meal for general tsao's chicken and a drink.
 
OooOOooO, first rejection, SUNY Buffalo. Not that I was ever gonna even visit, but kinda lame that they didn't even send an email or mail or anything. The status just changed from no-action to non-accept(wtf's non-accept anyway?)

Yea..I wasn't gonna go there even if they offered me an interview anyway, but I really thought Pitt was gonna be the first one to reject me(at least officially, unofficially they're already done so). So when do you hear back from the places you interviewed at? I'm withdrawing from FIU as soon as I get my OSU acceptance packet(a little paranoid, I know). Hope you get my spot! Even if it's just as a safety measure.
 
I'm going to have an extremely long day tomorrow waiting for a call from home saying if I got a UVA letter or not. And most of that will be down time at work or not in class.

And then what if it's not there? I don't do waiting very well when I know something's coming, but I don't know when.

hoping for good news for both of yall(yea that's right, i'm a chinese guy with a lil southern accent)

BTW, I'm interviewing for Downstate this Thursday, but I'm staying 'till Saturday 'cause I heard NYC is an awesome city. You gotta give me some pointers on the city when I'm there!

Honestly I'm a bit skeptical about the MMI thing as well. I swear, it's not because I didn't get into UC last year, 'cause the dean there was extremely helpful and gave me an excellent review, pointed out my flaws in interviewing skills, which allowed me to interview much better this year.

However, the MMI thing is just weird. If you didn't really research about the things they ask about, it can really hurt you. The interview day was really rushed too, 60 of us separated into 4 groups and herded from one place to another with no break. They gave a presentation even during lunch time, and if you didn't finish your lunch fast enough, you wouldn't even have time to pee throughout the ENTIRE interview day.
