You people made me check that thread out.

How do Kobe and Melo both score 40 and I lose points? The rest of my team are scrubs...

Test tomorrow, so unmotivated. I could study at work but then they take the "student job" thing too seriously and probably wouldn't pay me if I studied only for 30 mins out of 4 hrs. Everyone else at school gets at least 4 hrs/wk of paid nothing time.

well, here's something comprehensible:

My UCF interview was waaaaay better than I expected. They're not just building a new med school, they're building a whole medical CITY. Complete with housing, schools(middle/elementary/etc.), retail stores, and, of course, a medical center in the middle with the med school as the centerpiece. Their curriculum is so friggin well designed as well, including research built into the entire first two years and FIVE practice Step I exams spread throughout the first 2 years. State of the art simulation equipment, a lot of scholarship(at least they're hoping so), pretty awesome.

I'm in Miami right now, interview's tomorrow(I guess that'd be today, really). My host has an apt in a highrise in downtown Miami, 15 mins from south beach or any other fun place, 10 mins from the med school. Awesome view, 180 degrees of glass wall view of downtown and the bay. The girls here are HOT, as redrower can attest. I really wanna cancel my boca interview on Tuesday so I can just chill at south beach and stare at topless women 😍
 
That sounds really nice. I wanna go somewhere. Wanted to apply to UCF, but realized it was unlikely.

Today I just got the idea that I want to go on a massive road trip of at least 2 weeks or something. Not many plans, just drive. Maybe even just by myself to do some soul-searching. Will this happen, probably not, but I can hope.

i had a TA who traveled the world like that, he'd go to somewhere like thailand, find a job there(like teaching english) and stay a few months, then move on to another country. maybe there's a hitchhiker's guide to the u.s.? there probably is, and you could find something like that.
 
Jeez, are you guys gonna obsess over this freaking fantasy bullspit for the entire season? I realize these "class of" threads go all over the map in terms of discussions, and that a lot of nonsense gets posted here, but the last few weeks for those of us not involved in the league have been, pretty, umm...BORING.

Can't you take the discussion to facebook, or twitter?

flip, i'm with ya. someone make a thread on the facebook group for the fantasy bball so we don't have to read it here or on the wall of the group. (FWIW, i'm in the fantasy league and i still don't give a crap.)

I think it drives away people who might participate in this thread more. I think we should make this thread more inclusive, not more exclusive, and try to keep it more on the topics and issues of interest to people who are in this cycle.

Here's a thought: start a "fantasy league" thread and you may find other groups of people who share your interests.

So nobody misconstrues, I am not judging what people do with their time, etc., but I find myself spending far less time on this thread wading through posts that mean absolutely nothing to me.

me too fwiw. but i guess i use sdn more for information/commiseration in this app process far more than i do for its social structure so perhaps my opinion is irrelevant 😀
