This is exactly how I feel (and I assume we are talking about the same school, but maybe not).

And I feel pretty good about it, but I have a couple of decisions I need to hear (as early as December, possibly in January, or in March) before I close the book on this cycle.

I have been looking at the schools I have heard nothing from, and have been intently reading the threads, and even though people swear that more invites are coming, I have a feeling that I will not be receiving any more interviews, at least not to any schools I will bother with attending...and I am completely OK with it.

We actually just had the little informal info session for people interested in the research track at Baylor this week. I'm actually getting a little excited about research again... so ironically, I might actually be joining you guys in the Class of 2014 😛

Only if it matters for the area of medicine I hope to enter...I have no idea what that might be now - I am wide open - but if I decide I want to do a competitive residency, and research is important for that, I would do an extra year.

Nope, my interest in academic medicine is 0 which would make a research year kind of a waste.
