Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Do the poppy. Especially if you're due for a drug test. Get like 15 of them. 😀
Sesame hands down. Especially if you toast it. Then the seeds release the sesame oil and you can really get a nice flavor. (as I'm watching Top Chef, lol)

Do you know that Poptarts have a new flavor... Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! I had one today. They're pretty good.

That's new? I thought that came out years ago when they started marketing them as a "cold" snack. You stick them in the fridge/freezer and eat it like that. At least the cookie dough one. I got one for free at some sort of function (it was a while ago...before I was even in college)

No way! I love the smell, the taste, everything. In fact, I drink my coffee black. Always.

Ew.

haha, I forgot half the people in this thread are from the south.

around these parts there's orange soda and everything else is pop.

Well, everyone's entitled to their own (wrong) opinion.

Haha no one calls soda drinks "pop" around here... They don't even call them "soda." Everything is Coke. (Ex. What type of Coke do you like? Sprite.)

Negative.

In MA, everything is Coke.

Regardless of what brand it actually is, or what variety of soda.

Wow, I've never heard of that. Weird.

Small pooled at UVM.

Is that good?

Well, new to me at least lol! I was always a brown sugar cinnamon type gal, so I probably never noticed that the cookie dough one came out. I recently branched out. I bought a box of blueberry muffin flavored Poptarts too.

Best type of bagel.
DrYoda, we know what's up with pop. 😉 Don't worry about the others. Especially those who refer to every type of pop by "Coke", which is absolutely ridiculous. It's like calling every MP3 player an iPod.

I can't drink pop anymore. I haven't regularly drank it since I was 15ish and now all the carbonation gives me the hicups.

Everyone here says "Coke" except me. It bothers me too. I say soda.

I actually love the smell; I always felt horribly gipped that it doesn't taste nearly as good as it smells.

agreed.

hahahahaha have you seen airplane? great movie. "i take my coffee like i take my men"

Negative.

whoa there. so, so, so not true about MA. i've lived all over the state and it's soda everywhere.

this map lends support to my "miami is a suburb of new york" theory.

I completely understand. I only get strawberry poptarts when I do have them....

Really? I didn't know people in the South ever called it anything except soda.

That map should say "by county/parish". Louisiana has feelings too!

Maybe, they just don't matter. :meanie:

And that map is wrong. Growing up in Bexar county, which is where San Antonio is, I have never, ever heard anything except "soda," and that map says we say "Coke." Lies.👎

+1

Probably because It was the hot place to move recently.

Also.... there's only 2 big populations there, Las Vegas and Reno, most of the state is pretty non-inhabited, so lots of chance for diversity.

I think it's self reported. You can even add to it on the website...

Hey guys, I just got my first decision and it was a rejection. It was a school to which I would've probably cancelled the interview to anyways but it still stings a bit, you know? I've never been rejected by a school before. My first decision of the season. So anticlimactic. So yeah, don't count on any safety schools, not that I need to tell this bunch that.

Boo. My first decision was also a rejection. You'll get good news too.

I wonder what those counties in New Mexico call it ...

I've heard rumors of people calling it "cola."

😎

mmmmmmmmmm i love the smell. hate the bitterness.

There is no other term but "pop" for me. 😀

"What's your favorite type of pop?"
"Anyone want a pop while I'm up?"
"I'll take a medium pop."

Oh, how I love thee, pop.
👍 i agree. the only time i would say soda is if i wanted a cream soda. otherwise it was pop. but then i went to school in NY - every time i move back to the other state it takes me a while to get readjusted.

At least no one says "Soda-Pop". That one allways weirds me out.

that drives me crazy too!

i thought a parish was a type of church..........?

pop FTW. and !caffeine FTW. I made it through grad school sans caffeine, and I'm going to make it through med school and residency without it as well. I only get caffeinated anything when I'm about to die on the road falling asleep.

So, I was hoping to get back to working out today, but it looks like I'm at least a day away from really being over being sick. 🙁

So instead, I decided to eat chicken fried steak. That's kind of like working out, right?

I ended up not going to the gym last night and I just ate chinese food for lunch. A lot of it.

Oye. I can feel myself chunking up.

With or without gravy?

lol, nope, it's equivalent to counties, but it was originally involved with being served by local churches....

...people do that...especially to my awesome Creative Zen Vision: M which still works as perfectly as it did 3 years ago.

Of course!! ...

Mmm. I could eat sesame chicken or fried rice for lunch every day...

With or without gravy?

With, of course 😛 If you're going to be bad, you gotta commit to being bad! Nothing worse than splurging on calories only to still feel unfulfilled and wish you'd gone all the way.

True.
I'm not believing the Jefferson one until it's official..haha.

And doesn't everyone at UVM get the small pool message?
