Frankly, much of the banter here reminds me of the "cool kids" in middle school and high school. BTW, I hated those mother****ers.

My need for SDN has just about run its course...maybe as my cycle winds down, it is my signal to move on. Threads and posts like this help me make that decision sooner rather than later.

what just happened?

just fyi, i went to NYU, the gayest school in the country. most of my roommates have been pretty cool gay kids that I keep in touch with. some of them do hook up with the hottest girls though. but anyway, they like to make fun of themselves and they want you to be yourself at the sametime. its hard for a gay person to have a straight male friend and they really appreciate the people who just keep it real. if i could be gay, i would. my life is pretty ****ing boring and average, and it seems like they have tons of fun.

but yea, why so serious? we all know Kanye is one of the biggest gay rights advocates in the music industry (along with Gaga), its just an urban tradition that came about because homo rhymes with everything
 
did i miss something, or were people legitimately upset from a slang phrase from urban culture?

and lil wayne didn't bring it mainstream. that's like trying to pin the word "swagger" on someone. impossible.
 
i wasn't upset, just saying i didn't get why it was used so much. i tend to miss a lot of pop culture since i'm partly in the folk music world, which is just way different

haha, suuuch a bad joke. but something that would totally happen in my lab. yesterday, my coworker had high aspirations for me as i aspirated some reagent..... yeah.

and i wasn't really making fun of it. just felt that with all the no no no homo, we needed some homo around here.

I say New York; what do they have to lose, right? They're obviously burning this season to try for LeBron next year, so might as well get a one year rental on someone who can entertain the people in the stands a little.

The only other team that I think might show interest is Charlotte and only because Larry Brown is crazy and will irrationally fall in love with a player for a week and decide he needs to have him and Michael Jordan is a pushover. But my money is on New York because I can't see a spot for him to start on the Bobcats now that they have Stephen Jackson.

AI will never get it through his head. He's too proud, too stubborn, too sure he's always going to be able to do what he did at 25. One of the Celtics' greatest strengths is they may have the best chemistry in the league; there's no need to gamble that on a cancer this year.
