😕

Really? I duno how that works. I'll have to watch the trailer.

Allow me to explain:

She's All That has Freddie Prinze Jr who is the popular guy and makes the bet to turn Rachel Cook into something or the other. The Avatar guy is Freddie, it's all business for him at first when he becomes the alien person.

Then Freddie ends up falling for Rachel and once the crap hits the fan about it being a bet, he pulls the "it was before I knew you" thing. The Avatar dude ends up liking the aliens and when word gets out he's a traitor, he pulls the "it was before I knew you aliens" thing.

They're really the same analgous plot, just different genres. I hope you understand what I'm saying. 😎

The difference here, though, is that Kobe's thing happened during the offseason, during June or July. It's not like he had anything else to do at the time. I'm sure in order to make his marriage work, Kobe put in a lot of time over those first couple of months trying to do whatever it took to make it work; I find it hard to believe Tiger would have the time to do that if he didn't drop everything.

Plus, Kobe had a contract with the Lakers so he didn't have much of a choice, while Tiger is his own man. And it's not like anything Tiger was going to do between now and the Masters was going to matter anyways.

I mean, yeah, the only way America's going to forget is if he wins, but if getting his wife's forgiveness is really his number one priority right now, America's gonna just have to wait.

Nah, I don't agree. It doesn't matter that Kobe had to play, or when it happened. He played, and people got over it.

I mean yeah, I guess if Tiger wants to spend time with his wife or whatever that's good, but based on his actions it doesn't seem like he cares about his wife and family anyway. At this point probably the only reason he'd bother is for monetary reasons. The sooner he gets back to golf the better it will be for his career.

I see. I think I need to see the trailer to fully understand, though.

weird....I just got an email from NIH about "MD/PhD training opportunities at the National Institutes of Health" not to my school address.....but my really old...embarrassingly named personal one that I would have never given to a person who is even .1 year older than me.
How the heck did they get it!!!

Did anyone else get that email?

Econ is tons of fun... I'm in sports econ right now, its soo easy to pay attention! We also have "lab" at a sports bar down the street every friday afternoon

I also got it, but at my normal e-mail account. I thought it was interesting they were sending it out this late in the season.

yea the NIH program in bethesda is called NIH GPP

you have to be accepted into a MSTP program that specifically allows for you to go to Bethesda/NIH to do your PhD years. The program is exceptionally difficult to get into, I think they only interview people with a GPA > 3.9 (I don't think the MCAT matters as much for them), so if you had a high GPA you probably got that email.

4 years in bethesda would be cool but NIH is a terrible place to do a PhD (According to PIs I talked to when I interviewed for IRTA) and you would save 0 money and no chance of buying property (which is a pro of a MSTP I think).

They interview beginning late january so that explains the late email.

having academic physicians as parents is pretty annoying when you are going through this process. they will point out all the problems the schools had in the recent past and ****

I didn't realize both your parents were academic physicians. I think I remember you mentioning that they were both doctors though.

word. i was gone just for a little bit... anyone wanna catch me up? 🙂

meh... yeah. on the road. the season is lost with turner gone anyways so my expectations have fallen big time. a trip to the dance would be nice though.

Hakeem Nicks is representing for Rutgers

Grade inflation is huge in that school.

They have pluses (like A+, B+, C+) but no minuses (like A-, B-) but their grades are out of 4.0 instead of 4.3.

The Saints got it in the nfc this year. They can come from behind. If they get ahead it's game over.

The Vikes will... Favre is already starting to look a little less effective. But maybe it's just a few bad games, but you gotta believe he's getting worn down a little.

he's known to throw interceptions but the eagles are egh against the run. AD isnt as hot this year though (nh)

haha that kills my chances right there even if I was crazy enough to subject myself to more application insanity😛

He's a burner all right.

I don't think anyone even touched him on that punt return.

It's a good thing I'm not a TV analyst -- I feel like I wouldn't be able to say much more other than "damn...he is fast"

And if I'm a color commentator, I would say "+1".

hahaha... you know, in the moment you would probably come up with something. I've always wanted to be a sports statistician or a broadcaster... both seemingly low key, entertaining professions

I guess that would be the easy answer. And any of those teams will have to play the Saints or Vikes to get through.... I just don't know, it's hard to tell, especially if they have 3 teams make it in the playoffs.
