No, just 2 days a week. It's just annoying because when you get into senior level classes you would think they don't take attendance with daily quizzes.

Good morning people!

I have to get my car serviced today. Hopefully, that won't be too expensive! One day, I'm going to invest in one of those cars that doesn't need to be serviced until every 7,000 or 8,000 miles.

true!! the 6-year-old has sooo much energy today though! i was gonna have him run on the treadmill but it's one of the ones that needs a key and i don't know where it is. so i put in a dancing video and i'm having him follow along with all the moves haha
 
Wish me luck everybody!...about to go for my second 6.5mile run....trying to see whether I have the guts to go for the half marathon in march :X

Good luck! I ran 5.5 miles yesterday and was thinking the same thing. Have you ever run half marathon before?

haha nah. after i stopped gymnastics when i graduated, i was lazy too and didn't really do anything for a few months. i've been going to the gym a couple times a week the past few months and only just started going more often to train for the half marathon. my friend's getting married and wants to get in shape so i figured running the half with her would be a good way to get healthier before med school starts🙂

No...the ING one would be my first. I looked for a training schedule online and the best one seems to be the Runner's World...but I don't like it, doesn't fit my current level. I think I am going to try it on my own. Just figure out what a good time for a beginner is and shoot for my runs to be around there by the time the race comes around.

haha I am pretty excited. I am a relatively new (long distance) runner but I really wanted to do a half marathon before med school consumes me.

haha I am so glad our marathon in not in may though....in georgia that could kill you!
 
Just wanted to show you what some guy studying for the MCAT decided to post in the UMich School Specific Thread:

"Hi there, you guys almost make me sad, do you know that as I write this and as you study for your MCATS, there is a Nurse in the mayo clinic taking a 12 month program, in a despicable intention to replace a cardiologist. Did you know that anesthesiologist are in the same boat so are the OB/Gyn. Waaaaaaaaaaaaake up, you are being replaced by Nurse Practitioners . they are now able to take and do your job for half the price. Is it just me or is this a major slippery slope future medical doctors are facing. People, for every year you're in school, nurse practitioner and DNP's are popping up left and right, with the excuse that they are filling in the rural area shortage of medical dr's, that is BS, the truth is they are staging the most excellent hostile take over using the government and even our own licensing agencies like the NBME, who has agreed to certify with one test and make it possible to get your job. Last I checked , that should be a red flag for all of us to wake up and start the marching down Washington, picket lines, civil disobedience and the whole shebang, after all, they are TAKING YOUR JOB. People make no mistake, I respect nurses, but they are saying that we are just wasting our time in school, that research has demonstrated over and over, that we don't need to take the MCAT or any of the excessive education (the way they put it), I don't have to cite anyone, just go online and you will read terrible things they say. People I think it's time we defend ourselves , no more acting like if taking the MCAT is going to be the right thing to do, it's not if your nurse counterpart(as they say) doesn't even need to take it. My two cents. Hope I get some sort of response, this way I can feel some hope for us."
