That sounds like every year. They upset Duke in a 6-11 game 2 years ago and almost beat UCLA last year in the same seeding. VCU is a very good mid-major team and usually has some good NBA talent, like Eric Maynor.

i was there! some douchebag from UCLA almost got into a fight with the entire VCU section, Maynor took a terrible shot to lose the game though .
 
haha i think a lot of people called that duke upset, that team was weaker than AC Green's black book in comparison to Magic's

I know we are going to have a Yahoo Bracket, but I don't know if JJ wants to be in charge of that.

I want to make a Facebook Bracket - so maybe I'll post on the Discussion Board about that soon. You have to add the CBSsports.com App, but the winner of the entire site wins $1mil and you can compare yourself to your other friends who are playing. Maybe I'll make the group tomorrow and yall can join it.
 
if anyone is putting money on futures for the tourney, Ohio State looks like a good buy right now at 15-1 (they might take a 1 seed over syracuse or purdue)

I think a lot depends on the conference tourneys. Syracuse, Kentucky, and Kansas are all locked into #1s. The fourth is up for grabs between K-State, Ohio State, Purdue (probably not because of Hummel being out), West Virginia (since they just beat Villanova), and Duke (only if they win ACC tourney after losing to UMD). At least IMO.

That's pretty awesome. I know if I went to Baylor it would be nice to try and buy a condo/apt to get state residency. Other than that, I don't care. Plus, my housing plans could be changing after the first year anyway.

Mine are pushing for the same, they think (correctly, for the most part) that renting is akin to having a big money-burning party once a month. :laugh:

paying rent is definitely throwing money away but unless you stay there for like 8 years or so, there's no real guarantee that you are breaking even or making money off a property
 
apparently if you go to harvard med and you played top level athletics in college (like football or basketball), your sperm can be worth $2000 per donation!

I'm kind of hoping to do residency at the same place I do med school, since her PhD program is going to last for 6 years most likely and I'd rather not do 2 years long-distance... :scared:

Ann Arbor has some nice condos for sale. I'm going to look at apartments and properties for sale with the 'rents Weds-Friday this week since I'm on break.

lets spread rumors that there's been huge inflation at harvard and that their standardized exam performance have been underwhelming in all fields

when the price of harvard sperm goes down, we buy them by the bulk. and then release a more accurate statistics of their exam performance, driving the value up.

then, we rob other sperm banks associated with the other ivy league schools (or just yale and princeton), causing panic in the market and raising the price of harvard stock by a billion dollars.

They pump you full of hormones to make multiple eggs mature at the same time (or something like that)...I heard it messes with your health like crazy.

I just read up about sperm donation, you have to go through some serious hoops to become a donor.

You need to be 18-34, at least 5'11 or so tall(rules me out right there), college degree(preferably higher than that), never had a STD. Then they test your sperms for count, motility, freeze-ability, and morphology. After that, you'll need to provide your family medical history, sometimes up to FOUR generations prior. If you pass all that, you still need to take a very comprehensive medical examination for STDs and genetic diseases.

wouldn't robbing princeton and yale banks drive their prices up? i think the easiest way to make money off of this is by using hot girls as sperm collectors, then we shouldn't have trouble finding suitable donors who are willing to go through all the hoops for very little money.

yea its comprehensive, but you would be surprised at what kinda of people can get by.

i don't see the point, you really don't get paid much unless you're really accomplished, and really accomplished ppl don't need the money especially if it means going through so many hoops. plus, you're not allowed to have sex or masturbate for 5 days prior to each donation, quite an inconvenience.
