personal tastes. i don't like it by itself either. i cook w/ it or if it has some additional ingredients its delicious. as a topping for gyros, its great mixed with a little lemon juice, chopped parsley, and diced cucumbers.

speaking of food, lunch time!

I wear my jr high track shirt on a regular basis. It was actually our uniforms (not just a team shirt)... I can't believe we had to wear them!!! I probably looked like a pillow cover running around in circles.

I'm kind of mad... my times were probably hampered by having to wear that parachute :laugh:

I guess so but there are like 3 or 4 of us who have heard nothing.

I called the office just now and asking about emails because I am worried that my email might have gotten eaten by my spam folder-the lady asked me my name and to confirm my email...saying that is the email that they would use and that my decision has not gone out.
Sounds terrible to me. What on earth possessed me to call that damn place!

Oh I know I am. Plus my runner's high is finally leaving me for today. While driving home the crazy thought that my mom may have gotten my letter and just not told me yet went through my head.
Anyways, eating peach flavored greek yogurt (Chobani...got it at Publix) and it is pretty darn good but a bit chalky.

She did two summers of math research before stumbling onto pharmacology. Turns out biosciences graduate programs love math people, and she got into pretty much every program with just one summer of pharm research under her belt. WashU and Michigan both loved her, it took them like 3 days to accept her. :laugh:

Thanks everyone! I cannot believe how much support everyone is showing me...did I really whine that much lol?!
I felt really terrible when dukejen posted that she got rejected. Met her at Tulane and she is a super cool girl. 🙁

OK I just glanced over the Duke thread and what kind of pattern are they going in. Waitlists on Monday, then this morning, then rejections, then accepted emails, and there's still more to send out. It's like a mad house.

Actually waitlists were sent this morning 30 minutes before the rejections were sent out.
Acceptances are snail mail and most were received yesterday.
Really, I need to stop whining-I really loved Tulane and will be happy if that is the place where I end up. It is just hard letting a dream school go, I guess.

Why would they only send acceptances via snail mail?? You'd think they'd want to let you know asap! 😕

I have no idea why that is their route. Some people found out cause they got the second look email. I am just trying to remain relatively zen as endorphins are making their way out of my bloodstream.

Ok that actually sounds delicious. I freaking love gyros.

Lunch today though was seared pepper flank steak with garlic butter, wild rice pilaf, and steamed asparagus with more butter. Yeah, I sorta fell off the diet wagon today.
 
My computer is becoming extremely difficult to bring to school with me now - it barely closes. I feel like the next time I close it, it might snap. I might have to buy a new computer soon after all... 🙁

haha, right before i start med school. but i like my life w/o fb, my friends dont even keep walls anymore

one thing i miss though,
whenever we have big parties or events, we would take turns writing rhymes on the event board. it was good stuff
 
wish i could stay but i have to tutor. have fun paying attention in class sammich
