Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I have had such a productive day today!! I forgot how much I love being productive. Sometimes, that procrastination bug gets me, but now that it's gone, it feels good! 🙂

I loved Shutter Island! Definitely a top 15 movie for me!

And what's a wedding expo? Chocolate covered strawberries are always good 🙂.

Shutter Island is a psychological thriller. No horror, but it had scary moments. It is an excellent movie!

the expo was like all different vendor in her area had booths showing what they had to offer-photography, dresses, catering (free food part🙂), wedding insurance (didn't even know this existed-the pushy salesmen guy started asking my friend what would happen if she shows up to get married and the place was on fire!!), etc

that's a good description of shutter island. i would definitely recommend it jolt (and everyone else too!).

That's also when I realized it wouldn't work and I should stop.

However, I didn't form decent study habits and got Bs and here I am today, studying almost the same way.

i was a huge crammer until my first mcat. i realized after that complete failure that cramming is not always the best method😛 i got B's in ochem too because i was too lazy to not cram haha. hopefully we'll all be better studiers in med school!

I am the exact opposite, I seriously overstudied my first ten years.. I had like a 3.9 at the end of sophomore year...

Then, I started to cram instead of studying a little each day.... Ended up with a 3.7. Boo. I have no motivation.

lol, yea its a philly beer so its more common here than say a bud lite or sam adams. probably my favorite mainstream lager

cherry wheat is not my favorite, especially since they add artificial flavors to it.

I got this song from that "what song will you listen to when you get in" thread. Had not heard it before that and I think I'm going to be playing it five million times while studying for the MCAT. New mantra.

Anyone had/like Yuengling? Everyone around here ****s their pants about it.... I can't stand the stuff.

I tried it for the first time on New Year's Eve. It was decent, but I just expected more out of it because of the hype.

sam adams is great. cherry wheat is the ****

I love Cherry Wheat.

I also dig the cherry wheat. good stuff. They had a blackberry beer or something like that a couple of months ago... It was just awful.

Really, I thought it was very similar to the Cherry Wheat, just with blackberry and more of like a Belgian wit. I thought the blackberry was perfect because it wasn't as pronounced as the Cherry is.

On the the next one.

Top.

Peace, ya'll. MCAT here I come....

That reminds me - it's almost MCAT season.

In the next couple of months we have to try really hard to keep our thread at the top of the page. We can't have this thing buried by the 4875364546 AMCAS questions and stuff like that.

WAMC will start booming soon.

It's that time of year again. Remember when it was us doing it?

i have zero motivation for school right now. sitting through my last class was so boring that it was physically painful

I know how you feel.

I hate when people complain about how teachers grade. I also hear this convo too much in biology classes. "what did you get?" "a C" "ooh good job!"

Yup. It's so amusing to listen to some of those conversations in biology classes. Unfortunately, some of those people will probably be my classmates. :bang:

Gah, I'm going nuts waiting for award letters from schools.

Just want to finalize where I'll be next year.

I tend to be a crammer too. Hence a July MCAT...I didn't proportion my time properly and had to postpone 3 times. Pathetic. But it is going to come back to haunt and slaughter me in Med School...I developed good study skills by the last month of MCAT prep, but before then I was craptacular. I haven't had to study since my summer classes were over, so I am now a little rusty. Scared for July!

You sound like me, although I imagine you're joking by 10 years, it really did take me 10 to finish undergrad haha

I thought you were Columbia fo sho.

It would be so nice to get a random (totally unexpected) scholarship from someplace. I can only dream.

Yeah, I'm like 99% sure.

Got invited to apply for a scholarship from Einstein though and I won't know about it until early May.

Columbia is typically great about making it financially feasible to attend, but I just want to know exactly how feasible it'll be.

Just think about how awesome and sunny the outside world is. And what you could be doing outside in the said weather.
