yea the summer will be good
HUGE NBA playoffs and offseason
MLB
World Cup
World Basketball Championships (Lebron and others are sitting out so it might be pretty close with Spain, even though Pau, Marc, and Rudy F should sit out)
NBA Draft
Idunno. The East playoffs is basically a joke until Magic-Cavs in the ECF; the West seems suddenly wide open with the Lakers completely faltering lately against B-list teams, but I don't think anybody except the Lakers have a real chance in a 7-game series against the Magic or LeBrons.
The offseason will be a heartbreaker for the Knicks. Lee-Johnson for the next 5 years?
the NBA draft, you can watch the first 13 picks and the rest probably wont make it
Eh. Depends; when enough top teams talk themselves into Darko, Thabeet, Zarko Cabarkapa, etc, you can see some gems fall
Plus the Spurs have made out nicely with their late picks lately (Parker, Ginobili, Hill, Blair, Splitter in Europe). There are a few other savvy front offices that make the most of those picks too.
unless they're drafted by Utah
their whole team is 2nd rounders
Well, except Deron Williams. And they didn't draft Boozer or Okur. Miles and Matthews are only serviceable. Millsap is great, though.
Go my team! I still have a chance!!!
Really? How close is y'alls matchup?
I'm stubbornly holding onto Bynum even though he's probably done for our season, just because I don't know that I can beat either of you without him =/ Last minute injuries FTL
👎 Happened to me last time I played too.
i think the Warriors had a starting line up few times this year where all 5 of their starters were undrafted
And they sucked
i think the Nets will be pretty good in the future with Brook Lopez, Courtney Lee, their first round pick, new signee, and devin harris/whoever they get out of him
David Lee dropped 30/20/10 last night
Nets could be alright. They need to not overpay Harris in the future, though.
paying joe johnson a max contract is like shooting yourself in the throat and waiting 8 years for someone to help you
True story.
??? He's one of the best swingmen in the league
Eh. He's easily behind LeBron, Wade, Durant, Melo, Kobe, Roy, and a healthy Ginobili, off the top of my head. The biggest thing that will kill you is paying max money to a guy who can't be a truly elite player; you're basically ensuring you get a 3-6 seed for the next 4 years, which is just outside of truly being a contender but too good to draft someone who can take you to that next level. If you already have, say, Dwight Howard, then it's fine to throw funny money at someone like Rashard Lewis.
Hi everyone
