I've come to the conclusion that to some people anyplace that isn't upper-middle class suburbia is a "bad area"

if you are going to show an apartment, at least clean that **** up a little bit, especially if its vacant or you own it. i just saw an apartment with a bath tub that was full of hair. like covered in dried nasty ass hair. flies all over the floor. if they cleaned it up it would have had potential and been a great deal. but no one wants to rent a place seeing stupid **** like that

2. if you are going to advertise for a place/subplease/roommate and are going to post pics, i would prefer to see pics of the apartment, not of the roommates face/not a Christmas photo/not a picture of your stupid ass dog named Steve, even though the dog is a girl as you thoroughly describe in your craigslist post.

God - I saw a couple of places in philly that were on craigslist - I was like WTF is this. I've seen dirty / messy places - but I saw this apt of 3 girls - I couldn't find to put my feet to walk through the apartment... it was literally covered in papers / clothes AND UTENSILS. Seriously?!

Yeah, of course! I'm just trying to minimize driving as much as possible. Traffic in Miami is absolutely ridiculous. I didn't think it could be possible, but it's actually worse than Atlanta.

Well, it's not really a bad thing. I actually have no idea how long parking will take. From talks with students, it shouldn't take very long. It just won't take me very long to get to school, which is nice.

Eh, well, that isn't so bad then.

yea . most of the condos have a cigar lounge too. which is pretty neat once a year, but i would not want to pay for that ****.

1. roommates/shared section - if an email reply asks you to get your own credit report, its BS (i'm sure you would know this anyway). they enroll you in some kind of a program and get paid off of that. you as an engineer knows not to click random email links

2. if its too good to be true, it is.
the good way: you get a LOT smaller room. which is okay if its up to price

random sidenote - even though I'm 27; and it's been 9 years since I applied to undergrad - apparently I'm still expected to "provide guidance and advise" to everyone of my parent's friend's kids on how to apply to school.

And I'm also supposed to help them navigate college and figure out what to do with their lives / careers (which in the indian community obviously means engineer, doctor or lawyer)

What the hell is that? lol We do have the "i-Pass" which is an electronic transmitter that you mount on your windshield so you don't have to stop and also don't realize when they up the tolls. 🙄


EDIT: Gotcha. I think we're talking about the same thing, but they still charge you mad money per toll. It's double without it tolls here are approx $1.50. To come into Chitown from Indiana it's something like $5.00 one way, lol

Just looked up the info on the CCC toll tag (that's bridge to cross the river in NOLA). You buy it and get 40% off the tolls. Not as good of a discount as I once thought, but what the hell do I know? I don't live on the crappy westbank, so I don't have to deal with that stuff.

I find it hilarious that it's free to cross the bridge to the westbank, but the ride back is what costs money.
