Class of 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could see why a colts fan would hate the Chargers, since we have owned the 😛

actually Peyton Manning is a perfect example of why the draft is important. The colts took Manning and the Chargers took Ryan Leaf and we all know how both of those moves worked out.

I agree the Raiders suck, they aren't even a real team! I want to see who they take this year b/c it will be hilarious.

As a kid everyone I knew liked the 49ers (Joe cool, steve young, Jerry rice, Ronnie lott) or the Cowboys (aikman, Emmitt smith, prime time neon Deon!!!, and michael Irvin). The 49ers look like they are turning things around with Singletary, he brings that swagger.

haha i actually just hate phil rivers. he seems like a little bitch. Hes a good player but god quite possibly one of the most unlikeable guys of all time in the NFL...or just in human history😉. If brees was still there id at like the chargers more

i dunno, i think that was a classic everyone wins scenario. rivers is tearing it up.

they were such idiots for letting brees go
yah it wasnt too stupid. Brees and rivers are pretty equal talent wise. Id argue that rivers given time will likely be better then brees even though right now they are close. I dont remember if they got something for him but i think he was just released basically. The only dumb thing was that they never got anything out of letting him go

they let him go, his contract was up, while rivers was on his rookie contract. let's not forget that at the time, brees was a big question mark coming off a rotator cuff on his throwing arm, which is a big deal.

true but if i remember right, they drafted rivers a few years before the injury when brees was looking like the next great thing. If they had so little faith for him they should have probably traded him and got something good. Of course in hindsight its always easy to say this but just saying. They obvi never really wanted brees .

no the year before they drafted rivers brees didn't have such a hot year, it was right after they drafted rivers that he became amazing.

ah ok i forget how it all went down.. regardless it was good for both so there ya go. Actually ill just agree that it was dumb because of my hate for rivers:meanie:

Yes, this is true. After the Leaf disaster they went with Doug Flutie and Brees for a while. Brees did not play that well so they drafted Rivers. Rivers held out for more money and all of a sudden Brees became phenomenal for 2 seasons (maybe 3? can't remember) while Rivers sat and waited. The last game of the season, in a game that didn't matter, in the last 10 minutes of the game brees dove on a ball and had his labrum torn. Brees' contract was up. All though I really like Brees, the chargers made the right move. What if they resigned him and he never recovered from his injury? AJ smith drafted Rivers and wanted to start him and coach Shottenheimer wanted Brees (which is part of why shotty is gone).

Incidently, Rivers gets a bad rap. He got fired up at a couple games and responded to fans in a good natured way (media jumped on him and he hasn't done it since then). Also the stuff with him and Jay Cutler was ok with me. Cutler is the whinniest b!tch in the NFL and when he was talking smack to Rivers he hadn't even proven himself as a QB yet (still hasn't). My gf works at a spa and Rivers and his wife come in all the time (they have like 4 kids!). Both of them are really nice to the staff too.

I am starting to think shadowing is all about connections. I tried cold calling and emailing and was rejected so many times. Then I asked my family doctor and he was happy to let me shadow him, then introduced me to his colleagues at the clinic (ortho, cardio) and they all were happy to let me observe them for a few days. It was a lot easier. Or maybe I sound like a jerk over the phone and am a nicer person in real life.

Just for kicks here is a list of my best and worst in the NFL. I'm sure I will forget some players so please correct me.

Best QB's:
Manning (Peyton not Eli)
Brees
Brady
Rivers
Rodgers

Worst QB's:
Jamarcus Russell
Jamarcus Russell
Jamarcus Russell

Best RB's:
Adrian Peterson
Chris Johnson
Maurice Jones Drew

Worst RB's:
Darren McFadden
Ladanian Tomlinson (it hurts to put him here, but for the amount of carries he got he just didn't get the job done. I DO think he will bounce back with the Jets).
Larry Johnson
Steve Slaton (killed my fantasy team last year)

Tom Brady is pretty good. He's not bad to look at either.

yea, but they coulda drafted somebody else, or traded the pick to some team for somebody else. letting a guy like drew brees go for nothing is a terrible mistake. i'm sure gcizzle would agree with me :meanie:

Not sure what you mean... you don't think they should have drafted Rivers?

What pick?

In order to have gotten something for Brees they would have had to franchise tag him or at least signed him to a contract and then gotten a team to trade something for a guy making a HUGE salary who potentially wouldn't be able to play b/c of his injury.

The #1 pick of course, they shouldn't have drafted Rivers, they could've drafted fitzgerald or tommie harris or something. Even without the benefit of hindsight, they still should've kept Brees and drafted or traded down to improve the team with other means.

2003 Brees, right before Rivers draft.

57.6%, 2108 yds, 11/15 Td-Int, rating of 67.5

The problem was that Brees wasn't playing so well, infact I think they even benched him 1 game for Doug Flutie. He didn't play well until after they already drafted River. In fact they drafted Eli Manning #1 then traded him for rivers and extra picks the next year which allowed them to get Shawne Merriman and Luis Castillo and I think some other players that became starters.

I agree getting nothing for Brees sucked but there wasn't a lot they could do.

They coulda still done all that, and drafted somebody else at the #4 spot. Rivers had an injury marred season, but he wasn't too bad before or after Rivers.

My thesis reading went great!! My honors director said it was at a masters level 😱

But I have some bad news, while working on my presentation, I got a call that my step uncle died 🙁 His mom, in the past year, has lost her mom, my grandfather (husband), two nephews, and her horse 🙁

Congrats on the thesis! My disciple's poster presentation didn't go quite as well, but that's kinda expected when she was presenting a plant research in the microbio department

And sorry about your step uncle 🙁 Your step grand-aunt must be having a really tough time dealing with all the losses.

Haha, she was my step grandma, all of our families are close. It was her son. He went to the doctor a few months ago with leg pain. He was told it was a muscle strain. Turns out it was a clot and he had a heart attack last night 🙁

It seems to happen pretty often...I remember reading about a journalist in Iraq dying from it. Happens a lot post surgery too apparently, sad :/

You've gotta wonder if that was something a good doctor would have caught =\. We felt the same way about my grandfather's cancer... we were told that it would have been caught earlier by someone more competent.

well what do you expect when the specialty that requires the most knowledge and sees the most patients(i.e. PCP's) are paid the least?

it's hard to say. doctors do the best they can, but sometimes they make mistakes. it's called a practice for a reason. i know it doesn't make losing loved ones easier.

lawsuit time.

Interesting that you mention that. He had went to a doctor at the same hospital that my grandfather had went to before. He had a MAJOR surgery and the stapled the front of his abdominals. Well, they didn't give him enough time to heal and went ahead and removed the staples early and sent him home. On the way out, he tripped and fell, and his intestines pushed and opened the wound and fell into his sweatshirt. He got a major infection and almost died because of that. Most people would have sued, but he must have had the temper of a saint because he never did anything to them. He did end up passing away last summer, liver cancer 🙁

any of you beautiful people want to look at my PS for me? i'm trying to decide if i'm actually done with it.

reason i asked was because some chick i didn't know, friended me last night, she has 3 friends total, and i could see the resemblance to michelle branch

Also, apparently there are more American Facebook farmers, than there are real farmers in the US. That's a bit scary
