i am so out of shape too relative to how i was back in January, just trying to get back a schedule so i can rid myself of this mcat belly that has haunted me for 3 months. and let me tell you, its much easier to gain it than it is to lose it!

Nice, I was born and have lived my whole life in America, but I am half-Iraqi and half-Lebanese. Thanks for supporting my stance, I guess that makes 2 outlandish and ridiculous people.

Anyways, I'm sick of the flame war, but I can't stand for people of my heritage being called disgusting for their view. We can sit here and point fingers and call people names all day and that won't solve a thing. The reality is that the majority of Arabs have an anti-Jewish sentiment because the Palestinian people were stripped of everything they know and now live in an extremely impoverished and unstable environment. I'm sorry Bleargh, but this isn't anything ridiculous or outlandish and I cannot speak for the majority of the Arabic people; however, it doesn't take a pre-med to realize that this is the main view of the people. There are extremists who take this view to the max and think the entire race should be destroyed, this IS NOT the view of the populous, but instead a view of a small minority of people. Arabs support groups that are fighting for Palestinian rights. It just so happens that many, if not all, of these groups want to exterminate Israel although in my opinion they are just bluffing and using statements like that to rile up people and to try to scare Israel. Again, I want to sum this up: The majority Arabs don't support extermination of any race, but they support defending Palestinians, yet the only means of supporting this cause is by supporting radical groups who may have the goal of exterminating a race. I don't like it when my people are called disgusting and I don't think you would like it if yours were either.

Please don't respond to this, I do not want a flame war and I have to go volunteer now.

just to be clear, what you said was that a majority of muslims/arabs support the view expressed by that young lady, which was the extermination of jews. stop contradicting yourself, it makes your opinions more difficult to follow than they already are.

I do not recall saying that; however, if I did I meant to say that most Arabs support Hamas because of their goal of Palestinian freedom and they support those who defend themselves in Palestine. Again, there is a minority of radicals who want to exterminate Israel. I don't think supporting Palestine is disgusting, I do think that exterminating any race of people is disgusting.

Dude, I can go on and I can find you polls and I can talk about my trips to the Middle East, but I'm done. You can choose to believe what you want. Honestly, I thought people were calling her disgusting for not condemning Hamas, even though the leaders of the group hold specific views.

I think the Magic have been extremely dominant. Did anyone hear about the whole beef with Lebron and Delonte West?

I never said they shouldn't, I posted my personal view on the entire situation.

And I'm on the same side as you guys. I think what these groups are doing is stupid, futile, and a waste of time and resources. I also think what is happening to Palestinians is wrong.

I just stated that there are reasons that people support these groups. From my experiences with Arabic people (and I am one of these people and have many experiences with them) it seems to me that the support for these groups is not to support their actions in extermination of a race, but rather in Palestinian freedom. I may be completely wrong, and my sampling of Arabs, although diverse, is way too small and the Arabic news networks may all be spewing their own views and not views of the people, my relatives and friends in the Middle East could be lying to me and I may have been hallucinating when I have visited the Middle East.

there are no 'sides' here, and yes, there are many reasons people support groups like hamas, many quite understandable. that doesn't justify hamas. it merely explains it.

I was trying to say it's understandable and not disgusting. I don't think it makes it ethical or right. I would rather have them deal with it by talking it out and finding a solution rather than killing each other.

I meant futile, I feel like I've made that mistake before too.
