Class of 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Class of 2015, mmm...

Good luck on finals and MCATs my fellow 2015 applicants!

Just wondering-are any of you going to be graduated before you apply?

Class of 2015 already? wow I feel old :smack: Good luck guys! Make us proud 🙂

Fact 1: Heavenly Hash = best ice cream
Fac 2: Taylor Swift = shmokin
Fact 3: Class 2015 = Supported by Chuck Norris

some of you 2014ers are too soft(looking at you, blue and t-rex), you gotta be tough on these kids so they know who's the boss

Why does everyone say MCATs? It's singular, as in MCATest.

I use to let this bother me, then I realized how much of a tool I was to even care. MCATs MCAT MCATz.

you can make it a plural... you know.. medical school admissions tests...

I'm taking my MCATs on April 10th. I have my pre-application (10+ essays!) due in January, and plenty of other seemingly unnecessary stuff to waste my time on.. This application cycle will fly by.

(Class of 2015 >>> any other)

this is bloody keen.... freaking keeners. gunners. muggers.. omg

Pre-applications? are you finding secondaries for the respective schools and filling them out already?

This is why 2014>2015.

My school's "Medical Sciences Advisory Committee," who I'm required to apply through (at least for med schools in Virginia), requires us to write about a dozen essays before we can be interviewed by them. Gotta do all that, or I can't apply.

2015!! Makes me excited every time I see this thread title!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Even though 95% of the posts in this thread are by 2014ers )

Anyone have those days where it seems like the stress is never-ending? That every time you try to look forward to doing something fun, you realize that it's practically impossible to get your mind off the things you still have to do (an endless list to be sure), and everything you still have to do somehow links itself to medical school.

Meh... I have several finals coming up and just got off a tiring day at work so that's probably why I'm thinking like this. 🙂

Good luck on finals everyone!!! 👍👍:luck::luck:

Can't wait to finish them, so I can start re-studying for the MCAT!!

This is why 2015 triumphs. Positive attitudes are contagious!

Word of advice....take the absolute lightest load you can scrape up during your fall semester of senior year....interview season KICKZ YO *****

Ugh... great! My fall senior year is going to suck.

2015ers...were in your threadz.....making you get all defensive :ninja:

Yea, that was my plan (taking a little bit of a heavy load next semester so my fall semester can be very light)

lol on being defensive, it's all in good fun, almost everyone will be doing it to the next class whether they admit it not, but out of fun, not being negative haha

yea...I am only taking 3 classes and I feel like a little hamster in a wheel that NEVER stops much of the time.
I totally get why at all my interviews 70% of peepz were graduated...

My fall senior year is currently sucking. Btw 2014, make sure to not take unncessary classes as a senior because you want to "challenge yourself." This is not cool and it will backfire.

Yea, I mean, why make it harder on yourself? "Hopefully" you'll be gone and miss some class, have to catch up, etc... I set myself up to have like 3 classes too, just got to make sure I atleast stay full time (I think, gotta check on that) for scholarship purposes

I am envious!

unfortunately they are: inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry and senior writing seminar for my minor.....all three only offered in the fall....le suck!

Inorganic for me too. It is the definition of SUCKING. And EVIL. MO diagrams and their cousins need to die.

yea seriously...I don't even mind pchem...for inorganic it is going to take some kind of a miracle lol

Confession: I actually enjoyed first semester of Pchem. Gotta love Maxwell relations! 2nd semester, however, can suck it.

I'm so glad I'll be graduated before interview season. I can't imagine trying to go to interviews (if I'm lucky enough to get any) and have a full load of hard classes and research work/meetings. I feel kind of bad for you guys. Of course the down side for me is I'll be an MD at 25 instead of 24

What is inorganic chemistry? At my school, inorganic is considered general chemistry, but you guys have already taken that.

big deal....I will be 26...a couple of months away from 27
and I would still be considered relatively young for my class 😛

I guess I should have specified that it is Advanced Inorganic Chem, much much more intense...taking it instead of second semester of gen chem....

Wait, I was off a year. I'll be 26, would have been 25 if I went straight from undergrad. Too much biochem melts the brain and causes a mental time warp.

No biggie.

Inorganic chemistry is Satan's spawn, but to be more specific, it's like general chemistry on crack/LSD/ecstasy and every bad thing your mom told you to stay away from. You learn about symmetry of molecules, character tables, molecular orbital (MO) diagrams, hard-soft acid-base theory, the 18 electron rule, and other nonsense that no one cares about. I seriously think chemists got together and made this **** up to make other chemists feel left out.

And I just so happen to have interviews on EVERY day that our prof lectured on that stuff.
Oh and another interview the day before the exam....needless to say....I was effed.

Can't say I regret it though cause the day after I bombed that exam...I heard back from the school saying that they want me!

The key to acceptances? 2013ers, are you taking notes!?

Wow, that sounds very, very unpleasent. Gen chem is a bit of a weakness for me (nervous for it on the mcat), a person can only beat themselves up so much lol

considering i am going to start at 26 if i'm lucky i have little sympathy towards any of yous.

MSAC? You at Mason?

I will be a doc at 26. Sounds about right to me.
