Psh, how can you can blame her? The commercial shows people going to sporting events and to the movies wearing their Snuggie. Also, it makes your life so amazing that you sporadically break out in dance. :laugh:

Although I'm not sure what type of sporting event would take place in the woods? 😕

Snuggies really, really creep me out. If someone at a party wore a snuggie, I'd stay away from the fruit punch. Cult anyone?
 
haha truth flow, i couldn't figure my shiz out, my typical safety mechanism is to then write illegibly and hope the TA is too lazy to figure out the nonsense i wrote down (fairly successful actually)

Wow your TA's sound generous. Ours like to take off as much as possible, which includes when they don't understand what you did, even if it is legible! haha.
 
Dexter is awesome. I had a marathon this weekend where I watched all of season 1 & 2 with my gf. We are hooked!!!
 
I took a fb/SDN/email break for Thanksgiving weekend, so I feel like life is now returning to normal as I try to catch up 🙂

I know I missed the conversation on Dexter earlier... but MAN! I didn't think I would like this season early on, now I am totally engrossed. I never, ever, EVER thought it would be able to top Trinity, but this storyline just might.

And I don't remember who mentioned Weeds, but that is also some quality TV. It ranks up there with Mad Men for me, though I know that's not from one of the premium channels.
 
Question time!

I need to figure out what to get my bf for Christmas. He's the boy that has everything.

I'm thinking of having my parents get him Goldeneye for Wii and/or Epic Mickey (he doesn't play "real" video games), but I don't know what to give him from me. 🙁

I don't really like strangers touching me when I'm naked 🙁 And the bf had a somewhat disturbing massage experience so I don't think he'd be so into it :laugh:

Boys are hard to shop for. Girls can always use more clothes/shoes/jewelry, but boys are good with like 2 pairs of casual shoes and 4 pairs of jeans.

what about some magazine subscriptions to men's health, sports illustrated, espn the mag, and then a pair or two of tickets to a favorite athletic event?

my last gf never knew what to get me, and then she would buy me stuff that it was obvious she wanted me to have though i had no desire for. it sucked because she would get so upset when i wouldnt be thrilled because i'd be making some kind of face like "😕🙄" and then she would respond with "😳...:cry:"

Haha yeah, we never get each other presents without consulting each other first. He's not a huge fan of going to games... plus his favorite teams are all underdogs and thus almost always lose, which isn't much fun. Sigh, I guess I'll just have to keep bugging him to give me hints.

In other news, I don't really understand how some people just post threads on the first thing that comes into their head. Its pretty annoying. Like that harvard pre-med speaker thingy post. Ugh.

Just to give you an idea of how hardcore my marathon has been, I saw my first episode of Dexter on Wednesday of last week (season 1 episode 1) and I am already on Season 3 episode 8. Crazy....

oh i know the feeling...i think i started watching this show like 2.5 weeks ago and i don't regret it.

P.S. the reporter (Christine) in season 4 is GORGEOUS
 
Starting Dexter S4-5 this weekend. I've been such a slacker for this fourth season--so dumb it isn't offered instant streaming on netflix like the others. The other thing that sucks is that because of a stupid Yahoo article, I already know how season 4 ends which is dumb.

Wait... did they put Dexter Season 3 on instant yet? When we started watching they only had 1 and 2, and we had 3 shipped to us and watched 4 On Demand at the same time. Very confusing.

Yeah, the end of Season 4 was spoiled for me, too, but at the time it didn't matter to me. I hadn't started watching Dexter yet and we didn't have Showtime. Then I started watching it on Netflix and got hooked. We are LOVING Season 5, for several reasons of varying geekiness. I am going to be SO pissed if Lumen blah blah blah, I am a spoiling idiot.

To make it very clear how much I'm loving this season, I'm going to TURN OFF AN EAGLES/COWBOYS GAME to watch the season finale in 2 weeks.

Are you for real? Way to spoil seasons 3 & 4 for me. To answer your question, only seasons 1 & 2 are on instant, I had to buy season 3 &4. Hopefully season 5 is on demand!

Oh shiz, raffle, I'm sorry. I tried to find a hide-the-spoiler code and I couldn't find it. I tried to change the font color, too, and nothing else blended in right. I suck. I'm going to go back and edit now. I also got you and Tall Scrubs confused when he said he already knew how Season 4 ends. But to be honest, the way this show goes, saying someone ends up dead is one of the less spoiler-y things about the end of a season. 🙂

I'm happy Thanksgiving is over so I can legitimately start getting into the Christmas season. Watched Elf last weekend, which is one of my favorite movies 🙂 Next up is White Christmas!

And yes, Ducky, Dexter is awesome. YOU MUST WATCH. One of my favorite scenes from any show ever was when he beat the piss out of a child abuser a few weeks ago. "What are you, man? Some kind of psycho?!" "Not today, just a concerned parent." WIN! If you google 'Dexter beats up abuser' it should be the first results for videos.

We watched Elf this weekend, too. Chicklet loved it.
