Ugh I had to deal with some d-baggy behavior from a guy in my lab today. SO lame. I guess I should get used to being barked at by superiors for things that aren't my fault though, as that will happen a lot in MS3 and 4, right? :shrug:

Haha he did set a gel to run and left the lab for like 2 hours... I saw the samples were going to run off the end, but he didn't actually ask me to watch the gel for him... so run off the end they did.

at that point here it all melts. there's like a week when i can get away with base layers when it's ultra slushy.. not enough powder here for a skirt 👎

weather has been nice. missed most of it for driving most of the day. at my destination for interview #2. time to pass out. 😴

Easy solution... get accepted to Jeff and move to Philly!

I snowboard and ice skate in a tank top. And I was very confused why everyone in Philly was wearing such warm jackets when it was only like 55 degrees. Wearing a jacket made me too hot most of the time.

I know it's plenty warm where you live, but like a week or two ago it was averaging 20-25 degrees cooler than it has been this week. We're all still adjusting!

I don't like leaving my house when it is over 67 degrees outside, but I LOVE leaving it when it is cold outside. No wonder I want to leave CA.

lmao daisy and cougs.

hard shell = super moisture/wind resistant outer layer jacket
powder skirt = layer that can be tucked into your ski pants or go on the outside (works just about as well eitherday) and keeps pow from getting up into your jacket.

Both together = the best thing ever

btw I am really trying to figure out how I'm going to afford a pass and skis these year. I rode on some sweet atomic demos last year (rental) and they had 'em for sale used at the place I used to rent, I kinda want to buy 'em and get a sweet pass ($280) at the best resort in Tahoe (aside form Squaw maybe).

Well you either have

jacket->air->jacketw/elastic->pants
or
jacket->air->pants->jacketw/elastic


I think the second makes a better seal to keep out pow but I use the first cuz my powder skirt works great without being tucked, which is uncomfortable and it slips out anyway half the time.
 
i have never heard of anyone tucking in the powder skirt, that's just not steezy man :meanie:

just get high-tops or a onsie if it's a big concern, it's the best way to go

Lol well if I could afford the perfect ski outfit, it wouldn't be as much of a big deal, but I'm still using ski pants from highschool that are WAY too big for me now. Agreed tho, I'd rather have pants w/ a bib. I don't care what other people (especially the boarders) are wearing--half of them look plain silly with sagged pants and jackets 3x the size they need.

Try explaining to your pseudo-boyfriend who is not pre-med (or any pre-professional, and therefore quite unfamiliar with the process) how this whole process works....Interviews are not only mandatory, but also a huge expense lol.

BrainBuff, I am not exactly sure why you hate this thread, and, by extension, me, but it makes me sad that you do. It also makes me sad that 1 - you keep visiting the thread anyway. And 2 - you still are obviously not paying attention despite said visits.

I am HAPPY to share pretty much anything via PM. In fact, not only am I willing to share anything via PM, there are about 5 people in this thread who have met me in person and can testify that I am pretty willing to share things that they wished I hadn't shared.

That being said, I don't share details in the thread. Why? Well, my screenname is a little on the douchy/slutty/weird side, and I don't think that identifying myself is in my best interest. Also, on the rare occasions that I do go off on someone like I am now, I don't particularly want even a well deserved rant to somehow be related to my medical school candidacy.



You want to know whats up with me? Well then be nice, make some friends, and ask privately.

On a positive note, I met Asyouwereatrio, who is awesome. Unfortunately for him, he saw me sing karaoke.....so I am sure he is scarred for life.

There is this place in downtown LA that is AMAZING......I can't remember what it is called. Maybe you or Daisy know it. It is all red and white decour....they have like a sandwich deli with premade stuff and also a restaurant. It was so good. I need to find that place again.

bo?? LOL he had a staff... Donatello is the most underappreciated ninja turtle 🙂 He was a mutant genius and a ninja, but society made him live in a sewer. Poor guy.
 
I think i'm the only little kid who didnt like TMNT. I thought they were corny and much less cool than the power rangers. The power rangers were really corny too, but CHELLOooo...karate and gratuitous back handsprings..!

The power rangers wore tights and helmets. They looked like a bunch of handicapped ballerinas ---> not cool
 
haha. I was also a Power rangers kid...but I liked Batman the most!

Good morning everyone! (or afternoon for you east coasties). Today is Cal's homecoming game against UCLA!!!! 😀 Go bears!!! (and not Bruins...which are bears too). It's always confusing when Berkeley plays UCLA...they have pretty much the same colors, and pretty much the same mascot. :/
 
ninja turtles and power rangers, alike. donatello was my favorite rhino. i did have a pair of leonardo slippers though.

Why does Oct 15th have to be on a friday this year...

there is no way the decision will reach me in time to get delivered in the Oct 16th mail, so i will have to wait til monday the 18th 👎 as if I weren't anxious enough already
