Post-interview hold at East Tennessee, which has been making me really depressed since I really liked that school during my visit and desperately want to avoid becoming a re-re-applicant. Waitlist at another school. Lots of silence, etc. I guess that is the long way of saying 'no.' :-/ I hope things have been better for you 😳

I guess I can't complain about a waitlist tho :-/ but I wish it were an acceptance. It's hard not to freak out at this point when interview invites have slowed down so much.

I'm so excited, I might have my first white Christmas ever this year. I'll be in Maryland with the bf's family, so :xf: for some Christmas snow.

i've worn a 13 since i was 13 so when i was a freshmen in high school i bought a pair of shoes that were a 14 and a pair that were a 15. to my surprise, my feet stopped at a 13 and the bigger sizes were a waste of money.

Yeah, I'm still clinging on to one WL and no more interview invites. It's not a good feeling. I predict that we'll hear something from more schools after the holidays though 🙂
 
Best of luck to Daisy and Sun! I would definitely follow-up with a updates/letter of interest to each of the schools that WLed you both, if they accept them.

Yep, I'm planning on sending an update letter to where I'm on the WL, but they don't rank the list until May 🙁

I also want to send an update letter to schools where I'm in pre-interview limbo (well, the ones that accept updates) but I'm waiting on my paper to pass review and get published. I should draft up my letter now so I can send it off as soon as it's accepted, but there's too many holiday activities distracting me 😎
 
i feel you sun, it's hard to feel good about a waitlist honestly
i am strongly against sending fb friend requests too cougs, not really sure why?

Unfortunately, I sent in my update letters around the time of my interview in the hopes that improving my file around the time they would be reviewing post-interview would help my chances of getting an acceptance. Now that I got waitlisted, I have nothing else to update them on. god this is the suck

This whole waiting until March thing is negative fun. It feels good to be accepted, but I feel like I can't make a choice until I hear from one or two places. I wish they didn't string us along so much. Sometimes it makes me wish I were applying to grad school (just for the lack of wait, though).
 
Interview day went really well. the interview itself was whatever, could have been better but I loved the place so I hope everything works out ASAPPPP

Interview on Friday! And they are reimbursing me for some of my travel costs! So awesome!

I got my first 1700 page textbook today. I'm starting to feel like a med student already.

So far this place is weird. Like 5 locals at dinner last night said, given the choice, they wouldn't move here. When asked why they are still here, on straight up said "I'm too lazy to do anything about it". I don't know what that says exactly. I am confused🙂.

I'm going to go skating today yay! I checked a bag just so I could bring my skates.
 
The snuggie picture in the pre-med picture thread really cheers me up every time i look at it. I think I might have to make it my desktop wallpaper until I get an acceptance

Got an interview invite to Albany today, but I'm considering withdrawing since the school I've already been accepted to is higher up on my list. Will make a decision within the next couple of days.

Albany hmm.. that's a place I should have submitted the day I got it back in August but uhh... I only sent it the other day.

Whoops. Thesis hell does that. Left behind 3 or 4 apps that were "longer" or I felt had "deep" questions.
