The over-achiever inside of me feels empty without some important project going on.

I'm actually excited for school to start, wow. Bored with my job already.

i think the way my school works is you get the powerpoints in advance via the interwebz and then, wait for it, med students have unlimited free printing!!!

the way i usually study powerpoints though is during the lecture i'll take notes chronologically, then later i'll reread the powerpoint with the attempt to memorize everything (usually 2 or 3 readthroughs, active reading), then i'll go through my notes and the powerpoint together, and then i try to rewrite the powerpoint/notes verbatim from memory.

i don't know if this is feasible for med school, but i'll report at a later date.

I heard not every school has free printing🙁 I don't think mine does....

Only watched Shawshank a few years back and felt horrible for not watching it earlier. Awesome movie. Saw Scent of a Woman and finally understood why people like Al Pacino. Couldn't stand him before. Someone said I just HAD to watch the Big Lebowski, I did, and don't get it.

See that's what went wrong last time I tried to watch it. It was late and I knocked out 10 minutes into it.

MCAT, which workouts did you do? Also, I added The Godfather 1&2 to my Netflix queue last week! It's been too long since I've seen them. Anyone notice that there's no mention of The Godfather 3? I think Maxim magazine said it best circa ten years ago:

"The Godfather 1 was good. The Godfather 2 was good. The Godfather 3 reeked like a burning house made of chicken sh:t and stuffed with dead dogs."

hopefully they at least use 100% recycled paper....and that the med students are courteous enough to recycle their notes when finished. pretty sure my man still has boxes of lecture notes up in the closet (one day I will pack them out).

Tablet pc's are mandatory at the school I am trying to get into. They load all the books and programs onto them and we pay for them through tuition. I'm not sure how notes work though, but I do know they podcast lectures. 👍

I was curious to see how behind we are and turns out that at this point last cycle the 2014 thread was on page 1774!!! How is that even possible?

Why aren't there more 2015ers on here? I saw some of the 2015ers were posting in the 2014 thread way back so maybe it's cause the 2016ers have their own thread and not contributing to ours?

I believe a lot of their posts were contributed to the class of 2013 in the beginning. There was a huge war between the two classes that was quite amusing.

I love my Mac a lot, but I have heard that my school is not too friendly to them. 🙁 Has anyone who does intend to stay Mac heard of compatibility issues at their school? I'm working in simple workouts right now, like I've done the Cindy twice followed with a short run. I'm trying to find crossfit style workouts, have Murph on my list this week, then combinations of Strength (push press, deadlift, squat, clean/jerk) with something cardio vascular (400m sprint, row, or post lifting swim). Mary, 5 hand stand push up / 10 1-leg squat, 15 pull ups, 20 mins, that also looks good. High volume training haven't done in a while.

I thought that Cindy workout would be easy but after 15 mins it gets rough. I was surprised.

On Godfather 3, I heard so many bad things about it and loved 1 and 2 so much, that I have never allowed myself to watch it. Maxim quote is money.
