It would be so much better if Torr joined the Facebook group so we could all know what she looked like... 🙄

Class of 2015 MD student from your friendly neighbor to the north 🙂
Felicitations!
I'm sorry Geek! very very sorry. 🙁 There was a doggie, and people that I was suppose to meet, and I was only there for 2 days. I will probably be in Philly again though (that was my 4th or 5th time in 3 years). I will give you more heads up next time -- instead of my last minute decision to goI see how it is...
oh the French, that word sounds dirty
You're using the French word for Spanish? Srsly?Hehehe....not much different from the Espagnol version
😡 "Honeybadger, I am lactating with rage!"
You've just witnessed the gleebump. We we're falling off the page; you're welcome.
Thank you. I was trying to find it on tapatalk to save it but looks like you arrived to the scene first.
Slow day peeps?

*shrug* I was getting depressed figuring out my budget for next year and looking for an apartment. I'm going to miss my salary and, y'know, not having to pay for tuition.
Ah I'm working on budget, too. I am trying to figure out how much I actually spend now, given my parents and scholarships have been 80% of my income for the past 4 years =X.
$24k living allowance, but if I go with a 1br apt, that could be more than cut in half with rent. (the avg 1br in the area is about 1000, the ones I like are like 1300)
Our budget is slightly under $23k for Chicago for 10 months.
I have my budget figured out, and it's kind of depressing.
I went deep into hipster territory today to look for apartments... I was sad I only got to see one super-hipster couple out walking around. They must have all been drinking $7 coffees at Intelligentsia while wearing $1 thrift shop tees.
12 months. I'm looking at getting my rent down to around 800 or 900 before utilities, which I think would be fine. Definitely not going to be ballin, but I think my parents will help me with a few things. Is that for 10 or 12 months? If it's 10, that sounds pretty awesome depending on where you'll be. Our budget is slightly under $23k for Chicago for 10 months.

Yeah, Silverlake and Los Feliz.Silverlake? A couple of my friends live there, and I fee so out of place whenever I visit the area.
I think they budgeted $26k living expenses for us, for Philly for 10 months. Close to $9k is budgeted for "personal expenses." I'm not quite sure what they anticipate we'll need that much for.
It's all that expensive clubbing. 9k in liquor only goes so far!Silverlake? A couple of my friends live there, and I fee so out of place whenever I visit the area.

The field I'm interested in (and heavily involved in regarding bench research) is radiation oncology. So, my oral presentation will be at the annual American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) meeting this October in Miami Beach! 🙂
Bring it.lmao. You guys cannot be serious!! This is way too much pressure for me. I must disappear completely.
