Research day was today! There were 200+ posters, most in the competition section. There is one winner for each college, and I'm in the arts and science college (with about 50-100 posters). I didn't win 🙁 But, I found out I was in the top 4 to win!

i don't break rules, and when i do i get warned. if you want to use sdn that badly ask them to reinstate you

ha, when cizzle sees you she'll ban you. but yea, pretty sure it's the flaunting of rule breaking that gets you banned and keeps you banned rather than the actual rule breaking

what the hell, your sleep patterns are so out of whack, why study at midnight on a friday and feel miserable while you're at it?

Just get some sleep, then study fresh tomorrow morning/afternoon, i always seem to be more productive that way. always remember, productivity over quantity.

No time. My finals are on Monday and Tuesday and because of my thesis work and my posters, I haven't had time to study, and I have to go to a baby shower on Sunday

k, yeah, but I was banned for a week for telling someone they were being hypocritical. In fact, I used the exact same phrase you yourself used earlier in the same thread and I doubt you were even warned. And I'm sure I'll be banned again for saying this. 🙂

Haha! To be honest, I wish I could to study, but I couldn't do that to her. We've been friends since we were five. Man, I cannot believe she is having a baby and getting married, where does all the time go?

Ugh. Today was a winner all around. Drinks with Mr. Jerk didn't go well so I thought I was doing him a favor by introducing him to a very sweet (and better-looking) friend cause I had a feeling they'd get along well. Found out later he told a mutual friend I'm a heartless b*tch and will make a horrible doc. Geez, I introduce him to girl of his dreams and this is the thanks I get.

the lamest insult I hear is when people randomly judge how good of a doctor a person will be based on _____.

It's like they figure out your largest aspiration and try to attack you at the weakest point. Forget that nonsense. Guys are selfish a*holes by default, we have to work at it not to be.

I think I started getting my head around that when I was about your age, heh. I was in for my first shock when a couple friends of mine got married during my sophomore year or so. Interestingly, none of my childhood friends in China was married, and they're all ~23 years old at the time. Not even a single one, weird.

LOL! Three things.

1. I'm an MCAT mod. I have no power here! (Gandalf the Greeeeeey).

2. I'm only an assistant mod. Me cannot ban, as it stands.

3. I was already in bed! My mom watched de bebe so I could join the hubs and his work buddies as his farewell party. Then we got home *cough cough* and went to bed. 😛
 
It snowed at least a foot here. Probably closer to two. UGGGGGH, so much for spring. 🙁

Just finished my 9th draft of my personal statement, and I think I am finally happy with it :soexcited:. The prompt should be "In this inadequate amount of space, please convince us why you are the best applicant to medical school in 2010. Furthermore, explain your motivation using cute anecdotes and make us interested in meeting with you."
