Truth. I actually prefer it to regular sprite anymore... unless I'm mixing it with amaretto, then I want the regular stuff.

I also very rarely drink soda as it is. I weaned myself off it in high school and only only have it... I'd say less than once a month. Sometimes we buy a 2 liter and it's gone in a few days, but then we don't buy it again for awhile.

I know they say it in Montana,North Dakota and Kansas - When I moved to Arizona and said "pop" they looked at me funny. Then I moved to Kansas and when I say "soda" they look at me funny. So I kinda go back and forth and eventually end up saying "soda pop" :laugh:
 
so maryland had a 3.6 earthquake at 5 am....that **** woke me up and i couldn't go back to sleep for 45 minutes. i was sooo confused!

Oh man! Earthquakes are SCARY!!! I got woken up last night too...by a man screaming outside. It really freaked me out.

Also---> I just got the secondary for UCSF!!!!!! (They're my top top top choice) 😍
 
i slept through a ~6 earthquake once. i woke up and things were not where i had left them

it was crazy! maryland doesn't get earthquakes, so i was like wtf??

haha that's interesting. i used to be a really deep sleeper, so that could've been me too...but not anymore 🙁

miss B, every once in a decade or so we get a tiny little earthquake in nc because there is an old fault like about 2 miles from my house, and it is more startling than anything since you're not expecting it.

Earthquakes are scary and freak you out, but your top choice school is pretty much right on top of the San Andreas fault.

Sorry, it struck me as really funny, but hey, I mean, if anything, way to face your fears. 😛

yup!! i do remember a much smaller earthquake back in 04, but that was like 2 seconds long and only a few people felt it.

this one was really loud too...sounded like an airplane that was really close to the ground

It was great; I got to be a birthday princess🙂 I only stayed for an hour but I wish I hadn't gone; I woke up at 7:30 and I am freaking exhausted but can't go back to sleep. I want to get these two secondaries off of my desk.

Still sad about my pathetic Calc grade🙁 I haven't gotten a grade that bad in literally 10 years.

it was banana chunk, they have all sorts of odd flavors but becuase they make it fresh daily they only have about 3 flavors a day in addition to chocolate and vanilla.

It's not the actual Ob/Gyn attendings, though, it's other pre-meds and medical students and maybe residents. Sometimes it's someone from the pharm boards.

Bleargh, it's the first thread on the first page of the Ob/Gyn forum.

LOL! For real.

Honestly, my first few drafts were a little too riled up. I mean, it's just kind of laughable to me; there's really nothing to argue. You go right ahead and think what that midwife said is BS, but talk to moms that have been treated by a midwife and see if they don't tell you that's why they liked the midwife. The best part is that, like I said above, the attendings that post on that board seem to be, for the most part, totally fine with this, and have actually defended midwifery in the other post that I linked at the end there.

As a man, I hate the word creeper. If you ever want to destroy a man in a social situation, convince at least one woman that he's a creeper and it'll spread like wildfire and he'll be gone. (hasn't happened to me, but I've used it when I felt like being a douche)

it also helps to understand when you realize most of these med students go to med school straight after college straight after high school... the perspective might not be there quite yet.. and a lot of us quite frankly have god complexes.

no offense to any of y'all traditional applicants though🙂

That is also very, very true. Being on the other side of the doctor-patient relationship there will really change your perspective, which is why it's also pretty much impossible to debate this. This is obviously moreso for women than men, but you can bet my husband's opinion on all this has changed after Chicklet, too.

Anyway, what's everyone doing this weekend, besides secondaries?

I went to the new ballet studio last night and really liked it, so I'll be going 3x/wk now. Tonight or tomorrow I'll probably be doing some fire spinning/dancing. Ballroom party tomorrow night for sure. Probably get into the gym, write my humanities paper and discussion posts, get my political science hw done, and .. secondaries. I think I'm going on the 2 week deadline on some of 'em. (my bank account drained after my last round so I need to get over to the bank and deposit more cash money.)

for ucd right? Avoid mcat discussions. Talk about other areas and put the usual positive spin on it. An 8 isnt awful or something...and you still got a 32 which is a respectable score.
