i wasnt bringing up the mexican food as part of my argument for the east. earlier in the thread i was talking about getting a burrito so i keeping you jesters updated on my lunch selection. i might add though, there are TONS of apple orchards around here so our mexican food is pretty damn good.

edit: not trying to be racist, but we have a high mexican population for that reason.

Before I dig through last year's thread.....does anyone know at what point I should think I have been screened out of OHSU? It seems like they just started giving secondaries, but I don't know how long that goes on for.

Cliff - my biggest problem with the south is that I had a really hard time eating out and also eating period when I was there. But that was awhile ago so maybe things have changed. There just didn't seem to be the kind of variety I needed for my dietary restrictions like there was in CA or in places like New York.

New York food variety kicks CA food variety's ass.....I have never found it so easy to find soymilk in random places and in single servings in my LIFE.

No worries, I haven't received one either. They come out way later than everyone else (b/c no rolling admission?). I think they are just sending secondaries to in-state applicants right now.

i can see where that might be a problem, but in the place i call home it wouldn't be. local farms, organics, vegans, etc are every where here and you can whatever you want or dont want. the rest of the south the options are pretty much fried or deep fried, so i gotcha. come visit me!

Apparently they aren't going to be sending secondaries out for a few weeks? According to someone in the 2010-2011 thread who called them. I haven't gotten one yet and I really don't think I'd be screened out as IS.

thanks for the info Duckie🙂 I saw a couple of other people who said they got the secondary that weren't in the first wave of "test" subjects, so I was confused. When you bring them cupcakes, be sure to add a "PS" with my AMCAS ID😉
