I love it! It's white, 32gb, 3G (but I use the wireless only and connect through my phone as a hot spot - no need to pay extra $40 per month 😀). I pretty much do anything on it - email, Internet, reading (love it!), note taking, games, etc. The new iPad 2 have a camera and webcam. In my opinion, it's best to buy at least the 32 gb. Either way you will love it 🙂

However, it cannot yet replace a laptop, it's not powerful enough. So, Iwill have it at school but will also need a laptop for watching videos, recorded lectures, etc.


Btw, my bf got it for me last Christmas 😍

aw your bf is super sweet! and whoa, moneymonies hahaha

yeah i've got a laptop, but i do think iPad will be nice to have on public trans or when i'm doing like an hour on the elliptical 🙂 Also, I hear it's sweet during clinical years.

Do you ever wish you had black, or do you like the white color? I keep reading conflicting things about fingerprints and discoloration.

Exactly. So many people ask me if I still use my laptop, and the answer is absolutely. The iPad fills its own niche, and while there is some overlap in functionality, there are things that you just can't get done on the iPad.

Personally, I would never trade my white iPad for the black. The white color looks much more sleek and elegant. I've had it for almost a year now and use it literally all day everyday, and there is no discoloration of any kind!

And yes, it's very useful for reading, listening to music, or viewing cool images. I have a couple anatomy apps and I have to tell you - the human body is even cooler to explore on an ipad, the graphics are amazing! As I mentioned you can also record lectures and take notes in the same time. So yeah, it's very useful.

I have a black one. I've seen people talk about discoloration, but I would trust docbrill that it doesn't happen. I know that she is a real person =P

I personally think the black looks sleeker, but that's just personal preference.

You will probably want a cover to protect the screen. I use one of the smartcovers from Apple, and it is pretty awesome. For trips I also have a canvas switcheasy, which gives a little more protection and doubles as a stand.

Anyway, there are a lot of options, and various aesthetics that you can choose to go with. Don't forget what YOU want though.

Although if you're kind of clutzy, I would highly recommend getting a full-body case. Drops = death of your iPad.

As for colors, if you want to watch movies/do anything with the screen (novel, I know), you might want to go with the black. The contrast is a LOT better in terms of how it's offset by the outer shell.

Actually, the front part is black on the white ones too, so there is no problem watching movies 🙂
