I am going to have shrimp tonight
Just made some nachos with corn tortilla chips, extra cheese, organic pinto beans, red onion, home-made tomato salsa (medium), green chilies, topped with home-made guacamole and yogurt 🙂
have a little wine
and veg while watching a scary movie.
I agree, but I have no idea how much something like this cost.
Sounds good, I love scary movies 🙂
sigh, i hate my program sometimes. in class now. who decided that it would be a good idea for all of my classes to either begin or end at rush hour?
i'm hungry
ewwww!
I watched Insidious last night. The idea/story was good, but it was a cheesy made movie. I think it would have been better with a little more money. Good ending though.
I haven't seen it yet. I watched Wrong Turn 4 yesterday - didn't like it.
i kno rite?
The first one wasn't even that great. I can't imagine the other three. I am not sure what I will watch tonight.

Basically, a few friends get lost during a blizzard and take shelter in "abandoned" hospital. During the night and following day they all get killed and eaten by three brothers who are physically disfigured cannibals...yeah![]()
So traditionally how do proposals work? The couple goes ring shopping together and then the proposal?
Or does the guy go alone to pick out a ring, propose, and then the girl gets the ring sized afterward?
Also, do guys still ask the girls' parents for their "blessings" before proposing?
...None of this will apply to me anytime soon but I'm just curious 😳
speaking of blizzards, I watched Frozen awhile back and that was a surprisingly good movie. Not scary, but good. The 4th Kind is a good freaky/weird movie.

depends on how traditional the couple is. i think the "tradition" (i.e. in movies and tv) is for the man to somehow sneakily borrow one of her rings or have a friend help him to figure out size, and if the girl has had "the discussion" with friends, they'll be able to steer him in the direction of what she wants. then he'll go out and get it for her and propose. tradition is to ask the father for the hand.
sometimes though, the fiance knows what HE wants to get his fiancee, and in that case, she should like it...otherwise it's a pretty big sign haha.
for some of my girlfriends, they went shopping with the fiance and actually had them custom-made, then told the parents. others were "surprised" (e.g. been together for many years so they knew it was coming, just didn't know when), and the parents were just as "surprised". They'd all been living with their bfs at the time.
I agree with db - you never know until it happens. Some people get engaged as soon as a few weeks of dating...others, several years 😳![]()
Yeah, the first time my bf went shopping for a ring with my sister - not knowing that her and I have very different tastes![]()
omg nom. i want dinner now.

LOL. hilarity. i have no sisters, but i feel like none of my gfs would know what i want because 1. i've never had the conversation with them and 2. i don't even know what i want! lol.
when are you guys going shopping today? or have you already been?

I specifically asked my bf NOT to ask my parents first - this may sound crazy to some people, but since my bf is marrying me and not my parents, I don't think he should have to worry about their permission. Not that their opinion doesn't matter.
My bf had also bought me other rings in the past, so knew the size of some of my other fingers, and guesstimated based on that. We talked a little bit about ring style beforehand, but we have always generally agreed on jewelry taste.
Everyone does things differently...it's great that you have the same taste.
a lot of people like 3 stones 🙂 are you one of them?
I'm tired of waiting for top.
Time's up chumps, lets do this.
LERRRRRROOYYYYYYYYY......
