Slow Sunday, huh? I'm about to go hang out with a buddy who's moving to SC this week. I dislike how all my peeps have gotten so spread out over the years. Now I'm about to leave, too. I guess it's just more good excuses to go on vacations. Yay, vacations!

I have 7 hours before I start my first lab rotation. Too excited to sleep, ermagerd.

The lack of sleep will only contribute further to the likelihood of moments like that. You'll do fine though. Have fun, and let us know how it goes!

soooo random q - what's the primary reason medical school hospitals can't just check titers for all incoming students? why do we have to go get them done elsewhere before orientation?

I love this place.
Also, I didn't fall through a door today! Instead, I opted to do the entire 'almost sit down in a rolling chair and have it scoot away from you last minute, only for you to fall down on your butt loudly' schtick. :laugh:

Yeah I remember seeing you pretty much when you joined SDN. You had less posts than me a year ago. Now you have roughly 9000 more. You are a sick, sick man, with a serious, serious problem.👍

YES. I have no health insurance, so I have no idea how I am going to get all that done by the end of june. Actually, I'm basically sure that I WONT get it all done since i am going on vacation till the end of june in 2 days woooooooooooooooot

i know. it's such a great show, but it has some truly gruesome moments.

i force myself to watch though...just like i started watching the needle entering my vein when I donate blood. i think it's true what they say - it does hurt less when you look.

I watched the first 5 or 6 episodes, but got kind of bored with it. Same thing happened with The Wire. A full hour is too long!

I have the same problem, I've got to be extra careful.

Or my job could just give me full time status so I can get insurance 😡

Well that's not gonna happen since I'm taking a leave of absence to do the summer portion of the UC postbac 🙄

Why can't I just get accepted right now so I don't have to deal with this drama

I know, seriously, it's scary. I've been without health insurance for a year now, and so far I've been OK. Luckily, I'm going to a country with universal healthcare... stupid america. 55 more days until med school/health insurance!

That is a good, good question! My school let us wait until the end of orientation week, at least.
