I feel like I'm going to be very bored during parts of orientation. I've worked at the place where I'm going to school for 2+ years. I feel like some of it is going to be like "yeah, I knowwwwwwwww"

But very excited for the new stuff and getting to know people 🙂

Yeah, tomorrow's schedule includes many, many things that don't apply to me at all, but they're scattered among sessions that I need to attend. 🙁

That's gonna drive me up a wall lol. I always hated first day of classes in undergrad where we reviewed the syllabus....just give it to me to read at home.

Definitely going to be stuff I need during orientation, but when it's stuff I dont, I lack patience

Yeah, I get pretty impatient with repetition and uselessness. Also, I have learned that the lecture halls at my school are like the arctic. With jeans and a hoodie, it's still freezing. I'm wearing a long-sleeved shirt to school today and bringing a blanket. The high is predicted to be 97 degrees outside, but I need a long-sleeved shirt for school. lol

Oy no me gusta the cold. Hope this isn't the case for me
 
For everyone who loves coffee, I've been making iced coffee that's the best I've ever had:

Mix 12 oz ground coffee and 6 quarts of room-temp or cold water. Let sit for 8-12 hours at room temperature. Filter through cheesecloth and refrigerate.

If you really want to go crazy add sweetened condensed milk for a Viet style iced coffee.

I will second this, and will also testify to cold brewed coffee's deliciousness. All of the yummy flavors without the crazy acidity. 😍

just checkin' into this thread. Saw that some of you are in your orientation weekend! exciting!! I am barely going to be on my plane to move from the West to East coast tomorrow morning. Was at my grandmas house just now saying bye to my family and it was quite bittersweet...

My mom cried so much when I was leaving. It made me cry, too. It's too hard not to cry when your mom is crying. 🙁 My mom and sister will be out to visit me for family day the week after next though. Yay! 🙂

I live with my parents, so tomorrow morning before I leave for the airport is going to be effin hell for my immediate family and I. I am prepared with a box of tissues, but given how much difficulty I have with goodbyes, I think I may need a couple.

Fun fact I discovered on a wikipedia search: The Maryland flag consists of the heraldic banner of George Calvert, 1st Baron Baltimore. It is the only state flag in the United States to be based on English heraldry.

Hmmmm, interesting. I think the best state flags are: California, South Carolina, Arizona, and Alabama. Maryland is unique if nothing else.
