Class of 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yay!

I think Oregon has the best flag (well, the back of it, at least). It has a beaver on it.
I'll have to add that to my list!

make sure to mark your territory, make sure no one ever questions which seat in the lecture hall is yours. Must show dominance first. 😉

I plan to pee on my seat. After sniffing most of the seats, of course, before I decide which I will mark as my own.

Woke up at 7:55. Alarm had somehow fallen under the bed. Class (which was lab today) started at 8am. Walk in at 8:10am past 100 people to an empty seat all the way in the back.

Smooth.

Swaaaaaaaaaag. Next time, just walk in all like this.

I got an invite to that as well.... eh, it would be expensive.

Does your university not have travel funds for "student development"?

Hmmmm, interesting. I think the best state flags are: California, South Carolina, Arizona, and Alabama. Maryland is unique if nothing else.

Chuck Norris questions why Texas is not included in that list.

Be alpha. Not beta.

I'm guessing you were a big fan of the old Libyan flag, in that case?

Is that the flag, or is that just a picture of a green rectangle? I don't know!

So... anyone fall in love with anatomy, yet? 😍

Sometimes I think about dropping out and going to get an anatomy Ph.D. I loved anatomy. 🙁

Never took it in undergrad, but so far it's one of my favorite classes. Especially compared to micro/molecular bio. It helps when you can actually see what you're studying.

So I thought you all might appreciate this personal anecdote.

You know how back in California, I had been feeding my cats a raw food diet. But now, for the past few summer months with all the moving around, they've been on canned cat food. Although I don't really know if you can call what's in those cans "food."

But yesterday I came to the conclusion that I no longer have time to buy whole chickens and other assorted animals and chop them up and sort them into the right ratios and freeze them.

Solution?

So I decided, yesterday, to order $100 of whole frozen mice and chicks. No prep needed--I just hope I have enough room in my freezer LOL.

I don't know whether to laugh or gag a little...

Either way, you're a really dedicated cat owner and your kitties are lucky little monsters.

I give my cat dry food all year round except for a can of wet food for Christmas. And sometimes I guess I give him leftover scraps of chicken or fish.

I would never store his food with mine though. Pfft!

Hope school is going well for everyone else....tdd was right, this place is starting to die :,(

wow, that is dedication... my cats get dry food all the time.

Earlier today during lecture, I saw someone two rows in front of me using SDN on his laptop. I would never use SDN in public :ninja:

I didn't notice. I was either too busy napping in between lectures or trying not to fall asleep during lectures.

I think I'm going to buy a respirator for use in anatomy lab. The formaldelhyde fumes burn my nose and make it run like crazy.

you'll get used to it, soon you'll be trying to figure out how close you can stick your face to a structure to gain a better perspective without touching it. :meanie:

The worst for me was always putting on my scrubs whenever I dissected. Sometimes the smell and feel of them made me gag, especially if I was tired.

My scrubs haven't started to absorb the smell just yet, despite my having worn them into the anatomy lab several times this week.

Finally got internet after two weeks without it. Finally changed my name after donating too 😉.

You survived two weeks without internet? My God...

We just got our new TV delivered today (and a couch!). Haven't had either in over 4 weeks. We still won't have cable, and we don't plan to get it, but it will be nice to have to watch internet streaming stuff and DVDs.

oh hai guys, i think i remember posting in here at some point in the past.

What I wish med school was like:
