psssht, put the books down. any physical principles you need to know can probably be figured out right there in the test center. you got your circuits, your gravity... DON'T STUDY THE SCIENCE - LIVE IT

starting the essay while describing the middle of a OR case
I think I'd have to read it before making the call.

If you just put it there as an attention grabber, I wouldn't include it.
If you can tie it back into your PS, then go ahead.
well yeah obviously, my point is I love starting essays with the story then weaving it back in the writing to my main point 😎
Just don't force it.
A friend had a refrigerator passage on her test a while ago...made me paranoid.

That's what she said.

Too slow!
The problem I found with including stories is that they eat up your character limit like crazy since you have to establish context and that sort of nonsense...but if it works, it works.

yeah, but i feel like exemplifying your characteristics through anecdotal evidence is better than making a laundry list.
trade PS's someday?
You bet she did.
Wait.
yeah we'll see
you change avatars more often than lady gaga switches wigs and genders......
One good thing about weaving a narrative in your PS is that it keeps you from simply restating stuff that's on your application anyways. I personally like the idea ... the execution is just annoying.
I had an E&M passage the first time I took the MCAT.
Didn't care, didn't study it the second time around.
Had another E&M passage the second time around.
Didn't know the answers ... would probably still miss it if it came up again 👍
I don't know how this ties in to you, but let's talk about me for a while.
and you still pulled the scores you did. You're ridiculous. Or a good guesser.

honestly I feel the MCAT is way more reasoning the knowledge, the material isn't bad it's just reasoning through questions + added pressure
