Class of 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Im not too worried about that. Just missing work and flying out of San Diego is going to be getting expensive soon. I might have to start flying southwest

Southwest would have been my first choice anyways. Airplane gets me from point A to point B. Especially for interview season. If I'm hoping the pond, then I would want to fly lufthansa or air france. I hate Delta with a fiery burning passion.

I figured it out by reading this forum. I'd never heard it either. Who knows where it originated? Texas maybe?

I'm from Texas, and I've never heard of it.

People down here just say "I'm starting senior year" like normal people.

Problem with southwest is the airport drop off in Houston. Hobby isnt known for being the best of airports in terms of orderly-ness. But since I have no check in bags it shouldnt be a problem

Lufthansa is an amazing airline. When i studied abroad I flew Lufthansa and it was great. All the wine i wanted too

Yeah rule number one. DO NOT CHECK YOUR SUIT/INTERVIEW CLOTHES. It will go missing. It has happened. hahahaha

Yea i lost a poster for a presentation like this once. I had to haul ass to the closest Kinkos and have a new one printed out.

It's glued to me. I love the TSA guys at the airport, when they're like, what is this thing? Why are there all these red and purple pictures on there (H&E stained brain slices).

I bought this ridiculous poster canister. I think its used for engineers or architects. But I love it.

You can fit an engineer or an architect in one of those things?

Oh yeah!!! It's like Indian in the cupboard. I meant to say, that engineers or architects make use of it.

LOLOLOLOL

Great, now I've got boyz2men stuck in my head, but I've been waiting for Temple's secondary for awhile now. 😍

Crap it all, I want to be verified!!! *cry* I only submitted last Wednesday, though, so I'm not really expecting to be verified until sometime next week.

Guess I could pre-write Colorado's secondary...it doesn't change from year to year. Sigh. But I can't submit secondaries til I'm verified, and I can't request my committee letter til I'm verified either. So I'm in limbo.

So happy I don't have a committee letter.

The best thing about it was that I was pretty much forced to start the whole process really early. I started asking for individual LORs back in October, detailed all of my work and activities, wrote a primary draft of my PS in December. Got some great feedback interviewing with the committee that I can bring to actual med school interviews. Otherwise, it seemed like a whole lot of extra work for little reward.
