I can't say I liked getting a tattoo...but it wasn't the end of the world. It was more annoying than painful. My first took about 45 minutes and was on my shoulder--one of the least painful places. The one I want now will probably be bigger and take maybe 2 hours. It'll be on my outer thigh, though. Not a particularly painful spot.

Eff, didn't get this job at the women's center that I really really REALLY wanted and I applied to three months ago. Seriously, people need to have the professional courtesy to TELL YOU when they filled all of their positions so you don't keep emailing them looking like an idiot.

It happens. Interviewing for work these days can be pretty grueling. Another opportunity will come your way, no worries.

I've been putting it off just because if I don't do well on my MCAT, I'll be considered a reapplicant. PLUS, taking a year off just enhances every part of my application (whether it needs enhancing or not) and seems so appealing amidst all this uncertainty 🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁

It sucks though because I've collaborated with them on so many projects so far, and I'm really close to all of the directors. I feel cheated. 👎

What's wrong with being a re-applicant??? Shows determination usually. Yeah it won't be fun if you don't do well. But, at least you tried.

I had an experience like this just after I graduated. The business world can be pretty tough.

This happened to me last year when I was applying for jobs. Last month, I got an email from a PI at a lab that I applied to who told me that the job was filled. I applied a little over a year ago. :lame: He had forgotten to contact me. This was the only outlier though, most got back to me within a couple weeks to a couple months.

If you submit with one school on your AMCAS, wouldn't you only be considered a re-applicant to that particular school? Just submit with one school that you don't really care about. Then when your scores come in, you can take the appropriate action.
