I AM!! I am very excited because I just got word that my application was transmitted to the schools today. I submitted it about a week ago...
Just waiting on one final transcript to arrive and for TMDSAS to receive my LOR's from Interfolio...

Are you OOS or IS?
 
Anyone here work for Kaplan recently? I got a phone call from a recruiter today, and could use the $, just wondering if there's any up to date info around on what they pay. The stuff in SDN archives is from 2002, and I'm hoping wages have gone up since then.

While I did not ogle a fireman (I am a man myself 🙂), I also had a great day in the Chi! Got some necessary AMCAS crap out of the way, made a lot of progress at work, and thoroughly enjoyed this much-needed nice weather. The only thing missing was def an awesome meal in Chinatown. I'll save that one for when my friend from China comes back to Chicago tomorrow. 👍

Haha well I wish. I'm retaking unfortunately, my score was lower than my avg (hopefully due to test anxiety).

Chemistry is soooo much better than physics. I didn't have too much physics on my test, if I remember right. It's all getting a little fuzzy.

We'll didn't they just bump the Hopkins thread that got rid of the biochem lab requirement because too many people complained? If that's true, I'll add it again and be your buddy 🙂

I am only applying to one school - yes I'm crazy, but it's my state school and I am a good fit and I like putting my eggs in one basket blah blah blah. but I my ps and most of my letters are school specific - my physician letter is from a guy who graduated from said school and has 3rd/4th years rotate through his office. so he has pretty strong ties.

Well then have faith that it was just text anxiety. I still really, really think that those AAMCs are predictive of your true testing prowess. You'll get it done this time!

I have about the same shot of being accepted to Hopkins as I do playing center field for the NY Yankees next year. :meanie:

for shadowing ( i know I've beat this question to death)...how are you guys entering it? In "other" than fill in shadowing? And in the description box are you entering all your experiences?

Ex: Doctor Name-Institution-Hours?

and what doctor if are you putting for contact if you've shadowded multiple doctors? Thanks!

I put one doctor as the contact (who I had the most hours with). In the description box, I put the names, institutions, specialties, and hours.

I used the "other" category. I assume they know what shadowing is, so I didn't put any dramatic descriptions :laugh:

Aw 🙁 That's how I feel about AMCAS at the moment, I really don't want to fill in more than one app when I think I have a good chance to get into one of the 7 schools here. I'm also applying to TCOM

Woot- the 2nd of my 2 transcripts has been received by AMCAS! Glad that went smoothly (with no mail error bs).

yup, tomorrow 😳 I don't knowwww! My average on the last few have been great, and I'm doing light review (physics equations, periodic trends, decay, hormones, menstrual cycle, and enzymes), but I'm afraid that nerves will screw me over. I've had a ball in my stomach all well and I've been a total mess! were you nervous before yours?

At least your more or less finished at this point. I still have to organize my LORs, fill out my classes, and do the dreaded work/activities section. Today I finally jotted down the 15 that I will be including!

Good luck! And just my .02: I was probably the most nervous I had ever been during the days leading up to the mcat. Then I realized how much more nervous I was the day or two before and the day of the releasing of the scores :laugh:. Opening up that ThX site was intense!
 
Done with personal statement, need to finish entering work and activities, and just track down one more letter. Then the whole issue of the MCAT arises...ughhhhh asldkjasdlfkj

GOOOODDDD LUCKKKK! you are gonna be amazing!

Don't get nervous, just try to stay positive. Let the knowledge that you rocked your last couple tests calm you. You have less that 24 hours until you're free and have a month (and hopefully more) off!

I was very, very nervous. It went away after the first passage of PS, and started up again each time I started a new section 😉
