About 10 of the schools I applied to are showing up as ones that I've previously applied to. I don't remember marking "Yes" to that question. I should probably have this changed right? Hope it doesn't delay my application...

i guess if the primary goes to schools on jun17th, jun18th would be the earliest you'd get auto invited for a secondary?

though some hopkins thread around here said that you could already do their 2ndary - only needed an amcas id? surely they don't actually evaluate them in any way til the primary's transmitted anyway though - otherwise you might be a flake who never submits the app....

Yeah, the website says that you won't be able to submit the secondary until you have submitted your primary application first.
 
Dinner was turkey and cheddar cheese on wheat. Simple, but tasty. It hit the spot. Hahaha.

Mhmm, that makes thanksgiving my favorite. I love turkey and gravy sandwiches.

I got the spicy chicken deluxe sandwich and a medium french fry dipped in barecue sauce. And water. It was delicious.

I had that happen at an interview for a research position:

Interviewer: "So tell me about your previous research experience."

Me: "Well, I worked with yeast...." *GROWLS*

Interviewer:.......

Me:.......

Interviewer: "You were saying..."

Although I was incredibly embarrassed, he was cool and offered to buy me breakfast after our interview. Hahaha.

that makes sense then. not that i'm applying there anyway, just tripped over that other thread one day.

speaking of schools, msar says U of Mississippi does primary via AMCAS.. anyone else, uh, not finding MS at all as a state under school selections!?! the aamc site doesn't list MS, and the app doesn't appear to have it, but msar says they should... and Ole Miss' SOM site directs to AMCAS... myyyyyysterryyyyyy....

I kinda blushed and we glossed over it and didn't acknowledge my hunger haha

You're right. That's pretty weird. I would call either AMCAS or Ole Miss tomorrow for them to sort it out.

It was down to me and another more experienced (like 12 years experience) and the other person got the job. 🙁

MSAR lists earliest date for filing secondary applications of schools. And they are alllll different

i have an exiting night ahead of me -- laundry, cleaning, convincing my entirely resistant lazy butt to go for a run, and studying japanese.

On the West coast, it is 1:36 am.

I still need to see that show, lol.

Do you not speak Japanese fluently? Or are you studying the nuances of Japanese language?

are you still in school? i can't imagine being up at 1:30 if i had to wake up early the next day. i'm in bed by midnight at the latest (god, even that's too late...) 😀

I am NOT fluent. I can talk to anyone about most anything, but there's a ton of random grammar I don't know, or words I've never seen/heard/used.... Sometimes I think I'll never be fluent...

I understand. When I was learning the little bit of Japanese that I know, every week the rules became more nuanced. I was like: :bang:

Utilize your last year in Japan and build that fluency! You are learning out of a textbook? I still have my Nakama (did you use this textbook?) textbook from Japanese 1. :laugh:
