I had my privacy settings all jacked up to full. Then one day, facebook went and changed them on me. I'm not even joking. I don't trust Mark Zuckerberg. Not in the slightest.

Honestly, the town where I grew up is such a sickeningly perfect place to live that it makes me want to throw up a little bit. It won an award from CNN a couple years ago for being the best place to live in America. Click. Ain't nothing wrong with being privileged, but the trick is to realize that not everyone has that luxury, which is easier said than done based off the comments I've heard from students over the past two years.

You're probably right. *sigh* :laugh: Well, too bad for them. I made myself a Transmogrifier when I was a kid. Also, I was Stupendous Man for Halloween my senior year of high school. Best costume ever.

I see the gender confusion extends to real life, as well :laugh:

Dumb SDN. The strip keeps showing up and disappearing. But it exemplifies how I've approached education for the past decade of my life.

Yikes. 😱 I got FAP but I think mine would have been under $600 for 14 schools. I thought 14 was kind of on the high end of average. Though I think people on SDN apply for waaaay more schools than most applicants do. One of my good friends from undergrad applied for 4 schools and got accepted at 3 of them. He was a pretty average applicant too.

No kidding. And it's a good thing I'm going through and double-checking I meet all the academic requirements for the schools to which I'm applying. No molecular bio = no USC app.

Stalkers will go to great lengths apparently to magnify street signs.

So I removed my photos but I was just too weirded out by the lack of privacy.

Facebook is an incredible tool for meeting people and keeping up with friends from afar. I would say instances like what happened to your friend are very rare. The good that facebook does far outweighs the bad in my opinion.
Well except for the distraction it can be from finishing my primary, but then again SDN fits that as well. 😛

That is so weird though, i thought that the normal bio curriculum included classes like molecular bio, especially since its tested on the MCAT. I guess it just depends on the school. My bio curriculum has me reach the academic requirements for pretty much every school. The exception is the biochem lab requirement for Johns Hopkins, but I'm not applying there and biochem and its lab can go die in a fire.

I thought Hopkins changed their admissions requirement so they only require biochem lecture. I could be wrong.

I don't plan on applying to Hopkins anyways. I'm not going to give them the pleasure of rejecting me :laugh:

I've never had a problem with facebook, but maybe then again I don't have neurotic stalkers (yet). I've actually been on SDN more than facebook recently, which is saying something.

Aww sad. 🙁 I took molecular bio solely because of USC's requirement. :laugh: I love that school. Molecular bio didn't even help me out on the MCAT, clearly, with my stupid 10 BS score.

I wouldn't really go out of my way to do ANYTHING for USC, so I'm not too torn up about not satisfying this requirement. If I really cared I'd just call up admissions and ask for an exemption. However, as things stand, I DESPISE their football team - yes, this is a factor I consider, subconsciously or ortherwise, in assessing med schools - and I couldn't have lived with myself sending them the $$$.
