Probably none applied. Texans are afraid to leave Texas. Will I be swayed by y'all's opinions to apply to Case? No... probably not. I had enough difficulty whittling away the schools that I wanted to apply to simply because I thought an interview would make for a nice vacation, lol (I'm lookin' at you, Miami).

Truth. Physics II was my favorite of the pre-reqs.


I wouldn't really go out of my way to do ANYTHING for USC, so I'm not too torn up about not satisfying this requirement. If I really cared I'd just call up admissions and ask for an exemption. However, as things stand, I DESPISE their football team - yes, this is a factor I consider, subconsciously or ortherwise, in assessing med schools - and I couldn't have lived with myself sending them the $$$.

Okay then. :laugh: I don't know enough about college football to despise any team, and neither school I attended has a great football program. Colorado used to...like 15 years ago...hey, at least we're in the Pac-10 now.

Awww, that doesn't mean anything! I bet a lot of med schools look like that, because most people from Texas stay in Texas for med school.x

Just checked Case Westerns website, classes begin in July, not applying. Sorry Phnerd, but I like having summers.

Applied to Hawaii partly for this reason.

If they let me in. I like its program, plus they have a postbac type program available if I don't get in this year. Plus, awesome football program (which is on my list of what to consider when applying).

No.

Stupid SDN and it's dumb "submit early or die" attitude. You're fine. The people on SDN are just very prepared for the application season.

Edit: Don't use that as an excuse NOT to turn your app in early, though. It's still much better to submit early vs. late. :laugh:

make sure you all wait to schedule your interviews until you've consulted the master calendar in the fb group. of course we all want to coordinate and interview at all the same schools on the same days

A late application is one that's complete in, like, October. Being complete in July/August is NOT LATE. No matter what SDN says.

I know someone that submitted in November. Verified by thanksgiving. Interview in January. Accepted in February. Not even that crazy of stats. So I guess sometimes you never know...

True story. Prior to SDN, I had never heard of anyone going complete in June. Early July seemed absurdly early. I still think that late July early August is probably average.
 
My babysitter when I was a kid looked a lot like Scarlett. She let herself go over the years, but man was she smoking back then! :laugh:
