Thanks Steve! I would post the name of the school, but I'm going to refrain for right now. The adcom member said they actually read SDN. I brought up what a resource SDN has been for me etc. Then he was like "yeah, we read SDN all the time. It's interesting to see what goes on in those class threads. be careful what you post on there. any adcom member can look it up. Don't give away any revealing information until after you're admitted."

PS. I saw the admissions lady creeping facebook. She was legit looking up applicants. So happy I don't have facebook. Change your privacy settings everyone!!

Understood. To the bolded: I think I might stray away from this thread for a while. I've never done anything ridiculous, but those words kind of freak me out a little.

I kind of wish I would've pushed myself to be a more competitive applicant for med schools. There's always residency apps, though!

Mmmm. 😍 I was vegetarian for two years and missed cheeseburgers a lot so now I'm just an omnivore, but I still love the veggie delite more than any other sandwich. Everything but olives and smothered with sweet onion sauce. Mmmmmm.

The answer is yes. I think my ability to memorize lyrics to songs that I don't remotely like is indicative of a good capacity to memorize medical information 😛
 
I'm really no different online than I am in real life, so I don't really feel the need to really make myself anonymous. And also, these websites (SDN, Facebook, MDApps) are all used to provide support, chat with people, meet people, etc. Not as a professional business site where we must uphold the strictest of rules and whatnot.

Nah, I like to procrastinate. My personal statement will never feel done, and I'm guessing my app won't either.

I remember seeing a thread the other day about somebody that submitted and accidentally left one description box as [finish later].

I thought the meaningful piece was a pain to do. It was definitely a harder primary than last years.

Seriously, I have ECs ranging back from 2003 when I first started college (looong story) and I have to put in contact info for all those things that I've long forgotten about, but still manage to have a resume with them on it. This thing sucks big time.

I've forgotten the names of my bosses at some of the jobs I've had, they probably don't even work there anymore either.
 
I don't get the anonymous MDapps though. Unless you comment negatively after interviews or something, I don't see what could incriminate you.
