Class of 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I totally read that as fourteen year old, was about to say some pretty funny things about that.

Perv. A fourteener is a mountain over 14,000 feet in elevation.

Oh it's not just you. Most schools have post exam parties. I have classmates who drink while they study, not necessarily my style but whatever works.

I can handle post-exam parties. 😎 I can't drink and study, though.

Which one? I did pikes peak while I was out there on the Barr trail (touristy I know!)

For some reason that gave me a really funny mental image of a person half-dead, slumped over their exam, but they still have a pulse so they pass.

Land of spam?
Well that too. Im done in lab. Just have to go to some dinner tomorrow then fly back home. I got my first old job assignment back for when i land back home

I wish you would stfu ... and leave work already.

🙁 I wish.

Nah, Pikes Peak is awesome! I'm doing one called Quandary Peak, its not super well known outside the state.

Not too gunnerish. Just reasonable. 😀

Quandary peak...yeah, never heard of it. Awesome name though!

P.S. I also did the Manitou Incline, which was disgusting. I absolutely loved its in-your-face quality. Man, that was a heck of a hike though. I heard some people run up that thing, and being a competitive runner, even I find that to be incredible. They must be a different breed.

Also, I'm really close to beating mauberly for post count in this thread so...that's my goal for tonight.

tl;dr. is this relevant?

I don't understand people who run up mountains and run ultramarathons and such. There are a lot of them here, though.

Mountain running is a pretty big thing I guess. What surprises me in particular about the incline was that the footing was pretty terrible in spots. It was precarious walking on. As for ultras...eff that. It's basically a contest to see who can eat the best while accumulating blisters.

Good! My committee letter finally was sent, hoorah! 😀 So you are going into second year, right?

Started second year on Monday. Still weird to think about. The class above me was super lame so a lot of us equivocate second year with not being able to have fun, but I have faith that my class will not let me down and party just as much as always. Or at least on the weekends!!

It shouldn't be your focus but it is definitely an awesome perk. Not having to worry about grades or rank makes your class much happier as a whole.

Yes. Happy non-gunnerish class! It's really really nice. I didn't major in bio in college because I hated the gunner pre-meds. I was super worried about it for med school but it ended up being even better than college was with my slacker communication studies friends.

The Big Easy 😎. You?

The Red Stick. Home of the best football EVER!

Post-exam parties are the ****! Booze paid for by the school!!! I've been known to drink while studying as well. Though once you've had a few, it gets hard to concentrate. But one or two helps I think.

I don't know about the best football ... although your coach is pretty entertaining.

This is good news!

Yeah for serious!! How, I ask, is a 33 not even in the tenth percentile for MCAT scores?? WashU is the only school where my MCAT would really put me out of the running.

That I am. Gotta love a school with lots of monies. 🙂

Must find med school with lots of money...
