Just saw an upper level MechE HW problem on shear forces and support beams. I'm so thankful that I'm not a Engineering major.
Moving fluids with chemical reactions are tougher 😎

Haha. You're like "been there, done that, got the t shirt."
Just out of curiosity, how would you go about calculating shear force?
😱
oh ewwww ChemE. God I dont envy you.
I will admit, there are days when I try to figure out how many credit hours I would end up wasting if I switched to chemistry
I'm just not that fond of differential equations.
lol Diff Eq.
Not learning the stuff properly the first time around made all of my subsequent classes so difficult![]()
I had to learn diffy Q a year later from my Fluids prof. Never learned it in the class. Just winged it

I bought matlab to use at home to do complex stuff i cant do anymore.I'm in a similar position, except everyone in my class has forgotten much of it. So it's not too bad. I now religiously use wolframalpha when an integral or a diff eq stumps me.

on test and homework my shown work says " Plug into matlab this"
I don't even care enough to use MATLAB anymore. My programming skills have regressed to writing macros for Excel.
yea cause you worked with plants![]()

Plants play a vital role in our ecosystem 😡
This thread is now full of engineering nerdiness. NOT OK!
all this engineering talk, hurts my brain.

Hope everything goes well! Not quite sure how publishing or theses work though.I agree both the above statements 😡 I admire engineers only because they have to put up with THAT.
Submitted the abstract for my first grown up (grad) symposium 🙂
You know it's pretty bad when scientists call you nerds.

Engineers are awesome. It's just the coursework that sucks.
Got a northwestern interview . Y does utsw utsa and baylor hate me.

Hi grammy! The odds are good, but the goods are odd

Maybe they thought you'd probably choose other schools with your stats?
I'm sure they haven't forgotten about you!Thats the thing. Number wise im not that great. Im average for Texas.
Then again, what the hell do I know?
I'm telling.Nothing.
now that I'm verified, i can get all depressed about my AMCAS GPA, and i haz no alcohol to cope. 🙁
All the engineering talk in this thread... makes me laugh.
I think you guys went through absolute hell.
*shrug* I liked my engineering undergrad.
Hey Maubs... doesn't REAL medical school start next week???
Getting excited?
Med school lite (our two-week physicianship block) starts Tuesday. Cell/molecular bio is after that. I'll be excited once I've had a chance to recover from going out every night the last week... #whataharshlife
#spoiledmedstudent
Hahahaha
Since everyone else is wishing they were on vacation already, I feel I must make doubly sure to enjoy this time.
On hold at Drexel... no philly cheesesteak for moi!
I'm watching a TV special on orgasms...
BEST Thursday night ever.
